........... Need a bit of advice on harvesting .........

Hey people. Need a bit of help or advice on drying my weed. I am due to chop my plants up on friday. But before i do shall i leave in total darkness for 48 hours?? Been told it will make the weed stronger n make more resin or something like that

Also i was thinking of just hanginging them out in a room with a small heater in to dry out. Is that a good idea till they go bone dry?

Also all the leaves off the plant can i use them for anything? If so what and how???

i never leave in darkness for 48 hours n my smokes always good.....u need to either hang upside down from the storks or remove all bud from stalk and dry on a net .......hang in a dark place with ventilation and an oscilating fan but not directly blowing on the bud..... i would say defo no to the heater basically dark room window open n a fan

Ok fair enough. Yea i was going to put them on a line in a dark room upside down on washing line pegs. I thought that if the room was a bit warmer it would dry them all out a bit faster than normal.
I was going to have the heater come on every so many hours but not constantly. Is that a good idea or just scap that idea and let dry in its own time?

Also how long am i looking at for them to dry out? Week?

its 36 hrs thats recommended by most actually, Thc is degraded by light, thats what its there for, a sunblock, it is like how when you work out you break muscle down to make it grow stronger when repaired, it gets a bit stronger. It does have a maximum level still though and once it hits it you can give it all the dark in the world and it wont matter anymore. Thats why normally i only do 24 hrs dark, after that imo it doesnt really make a difference. you cut off all your fan leaves? i really hope thats not what your saying by that.

No fan leaves are all still on lol. I wanted to know if there is any use for them when i chop my plants down lol. But i think i will be putting into darkness tomorrow for a day then and then i will be chopping them down
