My friend emailed me this post and asked me to list it for him, he gets too nervous to do anything on the internet. If it matters for any reason he lives in nebraska; temp, humidity etc.

ROOM SIZE
-5ft width/ 3ft length/ 7ft hight (box built in attic)

VENTILATION
-box completely sealed (air tight)
-has 2-10" circular fans inserted in perfectly cut holes in the box 1 on the bottom blowing air in and one on the top of the same side blowing air out. both speeds on low

# OF PLANTS
-(13) 5 gallon buckets squeezed rim to rim 1 plant per bucket

TYPE OF PLANT/STAGE
-all seeds from the same it was some type of diesel (unsure of plant type)
-still young 3" tall very bushy though.

LIGHTING
-one sunblaze 44 T5 HO 54x4watt (216 watt) florescent 2 white & 2 orangish-red bulbs
- 2 separate 80 watt (2 bulbs each fixture) t12 lights on each size of the main light using the daylight bulbs you can buy from home depot
-room walls are completely lined with mylar reflective paper

SCHEDULE
-on timer 18 hours light 6 hours dark

GROW MEDIUM
-half the plants are in pure Miracle-grow moisture control potting mix "with miracle-gro continuous release plant food" 0.21% total nitrogen, 0.07% available phosphate, 0.14 soluble potash
-other half are 80% of the potting soil and 20% Miracle grow Garden soil "in-ground use" 0.15% nitrogen, 0.05 phosphate, 0.10 potash

WATERING
-water with luke warm tap water
- last watering i added a small dose of my old hydroponics nutrients "advanced nutrients" micro, bloom and big bud i also added a small amount of super thrive

TEMPERATURE
-lights off around 70-80
-lights on 85-95 usually about 90

OUTCOME
- plants look very health
-the two front plants leaves look deformed like they are twisting and growing irregularly second shelves look fine though (no color irregularities on any plants)
-leave tips are slightly drooping on 3 of the larger young-uns. (just barely, could be normal)

Over all the grow is going well so far but i would like any and all advise while they are still young.
????????????????????
1. I care about quantity equally as much as i care about quality i would rather have a large yield though to last me longer, how can i increase yield with the set-up i have or anything i can add?

2. I read some forums saying not to use miracle grow soil release because it screws with the flowering stage??? true??? anything i can add or change to help?

3. how long should i keep in the vegetive stage before changing lighting?

4.is this enough air space? is the temperature too hot?

5. should i add nutes

6. what watt hps should i use for flowering

7.HOW DO I MEASURE THE PH OF THE SOIL AND THE WATER IM WATERING WITH AND WERE DO I BUY THIS TOOL!?!?!?!?

8.ANY INFORMATION ON ANYTHING WOULD BE HELPFUL SPECIFICALLY GROW MIXTURE, WATERING AND PH LEVELS

Thanks and i will have my friend send me any questions or comments.

The problem with MG time release soils is that it is hard to have control over how much nutes are distributed when. Every time you water they are released until the nutrients are depleted from the soil. That is why some people don't like it. You can flower anytime you want after they are mature enough (alternating nodes). Your temps are a bit warm. I try to keep mine around 75F. To check PH I use a Hanna (brand name) PH meter. I bought mine online along with some calibrating solution.
