Need Advice on Nutrients

hello, got the fox farm trio pack. im using buckets for my grow, and i was wondering about how much should i should use as ive heard to use less in bucket grows? also there are 3 nutrients one for veg one for bloom and one for overall health which says to use through the whole grow. so can i mix two nutes in one container? or should i feed seperate? thanks

You say the FF trio, I assume you mean Grow Big, Big Bloom, and Tiger Bloom. Big Bloom is organic, and used throughout the grow, and you mix that and Grow Big together in the same bucket(with water, never ever mix nutes alone, always mix in water) for vegging, and then you switch to Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom together during flower. No need to mix them seperately. FF has another "trio pack" which is the 3 flowering additives, or finishers some people call em'. They are Open Seseme, Beastie Bloomz, and Cha Ching. They are only used during flowering. Remember, if you use the flowering trio, nevr feed all the way to harvest like their guide says....cut the nutes off 2 weeks before harvest and flush with clean water only. As far as your amounts to use, the program guide they give you is pretty safe, I've never had issues with burning or anything, using the recommended dosage, even in buckets. I don't use all their products anymore, because I've gone 100% organic, but I used them for quite a while and always had good results. Good Luck!!

the fox farm 3 part kit is good but as far as i know u use the veg only during veg then they give u a micro for transition stage to flower and bloom for flowering...u dont mix these togothr..if u want to add like a cal mag plus would be smart and liqued karma by botanicare its a grat line of products used them for over 5years happy.....but u use this the whole grow and add it with every water ferts only once a week .....i use botanicre pro blend pro veg,pro grow bloom ,cal mag plus, liqued karma, grape sweet, and hydroplex for a bud ehancer in flower stage..oh yea i gro soil also 5gal pots..also dont be afraid to call the 800 number on foxfarms label any questions do to there products they have great growers with info to answer any question for them.......and i do use foxfarm ocean line soil........any other questions on ur grow just ask me bro i walk u thru it o problem..make sure u get a ph meter a must and ph down also a must....just dont over water uder watering always better and forgot to say cut what fox farm says to use the first 4 weeks then bump it up use about1/2 of what they say so they say add 5ml a gallon add 2.5 agallon and if useing tap water let it sit open not close the top of ur water bottle it gets bad stuff out and keeps good things in tap water my tap water comes out hella high ph level like 7.4 really high so mix ur ferts and supps if u buy any with ph down 1 ml will drop it like awhole .so use small amounts till u get to ur ph soil is 5.9 to 6.5 just dont add to much so ur not playing the up down game....hope this helps pg

i use the foxfarms trio liquids and trio pack of supplements. i feed with every other watering at 1/2 to 3/4 strength. sometimes full strength but find that it is not needed. i follow the schedule except i veg for longer so i will use the week 4 formular for couple more weeks.

then i follow the schedule for week 5 when i start to flower and call that week 1 of flower. i usually flower longer than week 8 so i will continue with the week 8 flower nutes longer or stop the nutes and start the flush.

i use a gallon of water and add to it each of the nutes that is called for, for that week.
start out with 1/4 strength until the plants get used to the nutes then gradually up the dosage. some strains can take higher amount of nutes than others, so until you know the strain, go light on the nute.

IDK.....IT sounds like he knows what he's talking about there....I've never got that scientific with any of it, but then again, I'm just starting to grow indoors. I believe the more natural the better, so that's why I went organic, but I know if you get all that stuff just right, you can get a better yield. I've mixed Big Bloom and Grow Big many many times without a problem, and still use Big Bloom on my babies as they're getting established, and occasionally as a foliar feed. I'm sure there are many ways, and combinations that will work better than what I said, but it works without any problems anyway.

well, you know, CAL-MAG is not the same as it usedto be, I read somwhere about that, I think it was a subcool super soil artical, CAL-MAG is not organic, and I think many people think it is, or it used to be, or somethin' like that. I believe less is more in this game, especially when it comes down to the quality of the finished product. I ran some plants last year in natural humus and broken down natural compost by a creek behind my house.....best tasting and burning weed I ever had!!

i also think ime hoping on board with u as less is bettter sometimes
i think next year outdoor will be all organic thinking just a good soil base soma additves and feed it some tea and some others
how much feeding goes on in an all orgainc garden is it mostly the soil that u wnt to dial in for most of its nutrients u kinda c what i mean

I have to say that I am not really that impressed with the Fox Farm line up...about 1/2 way thru my veg stage (8 weeks) I noticed my plants "quit" growing...A friend of mine with much more experience told me it looked like the were locked up..I transplanted 3 of the 6 plants into Sunshine #4 soiless medium and have to say that the transplanted ones look much better than the foxfarm ones

Oh yea,the grow big is full of salts that build up quickly. You have to flush your medium every couple three weeks with that stuff for sure, or that's exactly what will happen....nutrient lock-out.

no not to uuse all of botanicare with his fox farm tri..justs saying thats what i use and that a little cal mag woldnt hurt to add to his feeding prgram not that crazy to use allrhat togothrt..lol...but botanicare line works good foe me....
