hey

first let me say build my own is not the choice .......i tend to mess it up then spend about what it cost to get the light fixing what i messed up ...2nd part this is a marker not a retailer so the price is actually decent

they have a new light out
http://www.ledzeal.com/p52.html

please have a look .........i used this brand before the old
http://www.ledzeal.com/p44.html
great lights love them ....daisy chain controlling uv/10k light mode

but it been about 3 years and tech moves forward ........so please have a look at the first one and give me your feed back ....the liight spec is right but i am not sure on the par rating (bad good better best) i am not sure

if u know of a maker of a good brand and way to order direct from them please yell

coverage looks abominable

at 24": 1620 ppfd in the center and 300 in the corners of a 2x2 space

this looks like another in a long line of overly focused toy fixtures that try to generate sales based on high spot par numbers

spectrum is pretty goofy with a peak below 600 nm then supplemented with 660 monos. missing a huge chunk of 630 nm goodness

dont be suckered by the iphone app. its just a gimmick for a substandard light

id buy a california lightworks solarsystem 550 instead of that. you get better controllability of spectrum, and good coverage from efficient osram diodes

thanks for the feed back

i am looking to outfit a 20x20 area for auto flowering strains ........ i have a diamond xml
https://advancedledlights.com/products/led-grow-lights/ds-xml-650/

the 550 looks like it would be nice for the veggie stage but the flowering i would need double to cover my area .......are the 1100 worth it (they do not give a bloom coverage area)

that 600W for $1600 light you linked is another toy with no real specs

20x20 feet is your space?

20x20x7 is the works space the whole thing is 25x25x7.5

that light did well on auto flowers in 7 gallon planters 6 to 10 oz

what was your overall yield with that light. a decent 600W light should put out close to 2 lb (with photo strains)

i do not do photo......i am auto flowers
what i get is based off how well i feed it and the amount of water retention the soil has
7 gallons was doing me 6 to 10 oz per plant (some strains i knew well so i was learning their feed needs ) ...they got 1 gallon of water/feed every 2 days from week 3 to 9 then cut(normal life is 68-66 days)

autos like all the light at any time table so it lets me keep the flower and veggie area in one mass instead of spliting it to 2 zones so i don't need twice th support gear

just where i am now the cooltube method for HPS will make them blow with the RH ........the open hood method is costing more and more in cooling and air support gear ......so i was looking to change out the area for LED to lower the cost of power increase the area of use and get back to my auto experiments (working on super soil for them)
