need help on lights

is anyone familure with this lighting system?

my friend and i are arguing about whether or not this light would get hot enough to need a lot of ventilation as it will be in a closed closet.

anyone have input???

I don't have that one, but I have two of their 400w. Yes, you'll need good ventillation with that, especially if you plan on using it in a small closet. I'd recommend getting a cooltube for it.

closed closet u will 100% need vetilation dude , take my word for it i got a 400w HPS and it lets off so much heat , but yeah if u get a cooltube like doeyed said it might be alrite "i dont know never used one"

These guys are right, I got three of the 400w and haven't been able to turn the third light on yet in a 7' x 4'8" closet with a portable a/c which pulls and vents to the outside (43 degrees outside right now).

Cool Tube or an A/C cooled hood is the best way to go, I'll be upgrading as soon as I get this harvest in, and I'm still kicking myself for getting cheap hoods.

If you can find a good hood at a good price, then you can probably put that bulb into it, use their ballast, and save some money. The hoods that come with the lights though..... they'll be flattened and used as reflectors on my walls as soon as I can afford to upgrade them. lol
