Need help quick!!! My seedlings need help!

hey everyone
i'm very new to growing but here is what's going on.

I germinated and planted bagseed.

its been 1.5 weeks since the 4 seedlings/sprout popped out of the ground. it was in some cheap potting soil i found awhile ago, but I transplanted it into Miracle Gro Organic Potting Mix last night. I water when necessary, it was about every 2 days but now they're transplanted into larger pots so I can wait longer to water. i have not given any supplemental nutes since the plant is still very young.

the temperature of the grow closet averages about 82 degrees fahrenheit. i'm unsure of the humidity but i doubt its an issue with that. i'm running 8 23 5000k watt CFLs, 1 13 watt 2700k CFL, and 1 23 watt 2700k CFL giving a total of 220 actual watts of CFL. These lights were literally about an inch away from my plants so I moved them so they are now around 3-4 inches away from the lights. I also have a fan running inside to increase the air circulation and I keep the closet door somewhat cracked open so that the hot air can dissipate into the living room.

here are pictures. can anyone please diagnose my plant because i'm really not sure what kind of problem my plant is having and i'd rather not mess it up by diagnosing it with the wrong thing.

85 is on the warm side, might try lowering the temp a little. That should help keep the leaf tips from drying out. As far as the leaf twisting, it's not that uncommon. They usually grow out of it unless it is a strain with that trait.

thanks for the quick reply. its greatly appreciated. what's a good way to cool down the grow closet without letting a lot of light escape? I had painted white the walls inside my grow space which is approximately 2.5 x 2.5 ft in order to act as reflectors but i think leaving the closet door more open than it already is would make me lose a great deal of light

You have basically the same thing I do, but more wattage.I try to keep my temp under 80, but last week somebody closed my closet door after she asked did I want it open or closed, anyway, get your fan moving air right around them if you can, and add more soil around the stem.
Also your soil looks dry, so it might not be holding as well as you think. Here's a pic of mine after 17 days from sprout.View attachment 2424526

thanks for the reply :D

yeah the fan is blowing through the leaves on low.

i'll definitely have to put more soil around stem. i didnt think of that.

i actually just transplanted my plant into the soil last night and i didn't give it a full watering so maybe thats why it looks dry. but when i stick my finger in the soil i can tell that the soil is still moist so I dont think the soil's moisture capacity is that much of an issue.

your plant has alot more leaves than i do so i'm jealous, but it looks like its being overwatered, no?

Nah, she's unhappy because I had company last week, and I've been looking at her thinking to repot into a bigger home since last Monday.I also just fed her Tuesday.

looks like it may be nute burn....85 is a bit on the warm side but not going to realy cause them to burn. Miracle grow it infamous for being too hot for seedlings. my advice. water only when they need it and just give it time, they should become big enough to handle the hotter miracle grow soil in no time.

with that soil you probabally wont have to give any nutes untill flower stage, also never a bad practive to check your soil PH and if you can get some dolomite or garden lime and just add a little bit to your soil before you pot this will help ensure that the plants are at a desireable PH lvl

Am I reading this right?,..You planted seedlings and they`re growing !! That`s supposed to happen !!

The little guys or chicks look fine !! Remember this,...when you transplant, the plants will stop growing for a bit to settle down and take root again. Motion sickness happens because in Nature,..plants aren`t supposed to move !!

thanks for all the advice. i'll just have to wait it out for a bit and check on their progress and adjust accordingly. any other ways to cool down my grow area and other ways to keep my babies growing faster and stronger?

ok just to update you guys, i've managed to get the room down to an average temperature of about 80.5 degrees F. This is a picture of them that I just took now of them. one of them is starting to have white tips.IMG_0323.jpgIMG_0325.jpgIMG_0326.jpgIMG_0327.jpg

You said you were in MG soil, but that stuff looks like crap (No offense, I am using MG moisture control myself) and it looks dry.
Did you add any perlite when you planted them?
Get your lights closer if you can, (see how they are starting to stretch?) and pile up more soil around the stem almost up to the first set of leaves.
Actually, if it was me, I would grab a couple 5000k CFL's and throw them in close to the plants.
For future reference, try to plant them higher up in the cup, as it gives more room under them for root growth, and will avoid the sides of the cup from blocking light like it is now.

Any is fine, I am in MG myself, and with MG soil AND MG perlite I haven't had any burning issues like some people, in fact, I am feeding mine already at 18 days from sprout.
I mixed my MG moisture control about 60/40 with the perlite. (60%soil, 40%p)

just wanted to update you guys so far. I still havent gotten around getting perlite, but will do that soon, i've been extremely busy at work and school since finals week is approaching that I havent been able to do anything for my plants as of right now. priorities first you know? but here's a picture of them. some of them I think I may just have to scrap them, but since i'm a noob i'm not sure. trying to find more expert advice on this. one of them looks like its growing new leaves which is a good thing, but the color is still a light green. i've managed to get the room temperature to 76 degrees flat and the circulation is good. one of my huge concerns is that i am using only foam board for my walls and i'm not sure if this is a good idea or not because the foam board isnt opaque enough to keep the light from naturally causing the grow box to glow. being stealthy really isn't an issue for me, but i was wondering if this had any effect on the growth of my plants via a loss of light energy?IMG_0328.jpgIMG_0329.jpgIMG_0330.jpgIMG_0331.jpg

Get your lights as close as you can, don't worry about perlite right now.
Don't pull them in their weakened state just to add perlite, but when you do, raise them up in the pots more than they are in the pics.
They are pretty small for two weeks, but don't toss them.
As long as there is green, there is hope.;-)
