Either trim roots or create a backup. Backups arent good in a RDWC.

I've heard roots just shoot off new roots when they are cut. Similar to topping.

How big are your containers? I have big roots and they arent blocking exits. I use 27gal totes.

i had the same issue with my bought system, the pipes are on the small side and the roots grow so fast. you will get used to how big the roots get to how big the plants are. I lift my plants every few days and trim the roots if needed. i have done 4 crops now with this system and roots have blocked it every time.

i monitor temps in the back 2 pots as high temps show you that you have a blockage and the chilled nutes are not recirculating. what system are you using or have you built it yourself?

I use 27gal totrs and have this issue as well. The suction created by rhe pump draws the roots thru. Its not clogging it yet.
