Need help vegging autos

I have two pg180's in a 4x2x6 tent. Should I run them only in veg mode at first? Or full spectrum the whole life cycle?
I'm already 10 days in on my 1st led grow. They've only been on veg mode 18/6.

I don't have LEDs but I run a full spectrum light -Phillips elite Agro 315w 3100k through veg and flower with great results. I have much better results imo with this light than I do using mh for veg and hps for flower. So yeah, I'd keep them full spectrum throughout.

Nothing wrong with full spectrum, but blue light helps keep plants shorter, red encourages stretching (in veg), so if you want shorter plants, stick to veg only.

full spec for sure with autos it is a race from when the seed cracks to harvest easy on nutrients more then you would photos till you know your plant can handle it imo

Cool, thanks. So when they start flowering switch to full spectrum? My girls are 9/10 days old. What should my temps & humidity run? I'm at 78-82f and 60% humidity.

Thanks man. I'm having heat trouble right now. If i switch to full mode, it gets up to 86f in my tent. I'm working on the problem, but I dont want to stress the plants.

Actually I agree with Nwoodsgrower, this is an auto, you probably want to go full bore if possible. But yes, if you're looking to control height, wait till after stretch to bring in the red spectrum.

Keep daytime temps between 70-80 if you can. 75 is about sweet.

So, what's your ventilation system like? Maybe we can fix that.

I already have fungus gnats that I am taking care of. Hopefully the nematodes I just watered with control the problem. This is my 1st grow.

Ouch.

For fungus gnats, and optimal growth in general, try to let the medium dry out a bit more.

Though honestly, you look like you've got watering handled. Did you sow the seeds directly into those big pots? If so, good job!

I've had very few pest issues so can't speak for nematodes. Hope they work for you.

6 in carbon filter and fan. A 4 inch would have been ideal for 8sqft, but I didn't know. Fan outside tent, filter inside on floor standing up. Passive intake on opposite side up top. 14 in cyclone fan circulating air. Small portable humidifier.

5 gallon smart pots. Yes, I put them directly in soil to germinate. Took 3-4 days.

Fan is pulling air out. I have negative pressure inside, but I'm exhausing into the room the tent is in.

Yes. Let me guess, I shouldn't have it there? Move it to opposite side?
No, it was you saying the filter was on the floor that got me.

Get the filter as high and close to the exhaust fan as possible. All that vent tube is slowing airflow, and all your heat is staying up top. You're venting the lower cool air and keeping the upper hot.

Your passive intake into the room should be low. The filter in the room should be high, and connected as close to directly to the ventilation fan as you can manage, which shold also be high.

But yeah, humidity will shorten the life of your carbon.

Oh, and nice setup BTW. Mine is so ghetto, hahaha.

Yep. It'll kill the life span of the carbon filter if it's pulling humid air through it. Not to mention you're sucking some of your humid air right out the exhaust.

And I know everyone argues about this, but I stopped worrying about keeping humidity up in flower a long while ago. In dry colorado I can maintain veg tent humidity just by controlling exhaust rate in the veg tent. I rock about 25-30% humidity on my flower tent.

Sweet, thanks everyone. I just rearranged everything. I moved the filter to the top, minimized ducting, put passive intake at bottom, and my humidifier is in the same place, but not anywhere near the filter. The temps have already dropped. I appreciate the help guys.
