Hi
I am a long time reader, first time poster!!
Started an autoflower bubblegum in my diy grow cabinet with just a normal size house cfl bulb and everyhig was going well, Purchased a 125w blue cfl and my plant loved it to start with but now has turned brown and crispy leaves also the new leaves in the middle look quite yellow?? Would add a pic but not too sure how ?
As i say im quite new to this so any help appreciated
Thanks

Next to the button create thread or post reply it says upload file. Click that and navigate to where you saved your pic.
A pic of the whole plant

After that tell us what medium your using
what nutrients
is the plant in veg or flower
how often and how much your watering
ph
temps
pot size
pretty much every bit of info you can provide.

Welcome to RIU

Cheers for the buddy (y) worked out how to use it :)

The first 3 pictures are the plant 1 day after switching from a 40w cfl to a 125w cfl it seemed to grow a lot and look much better after the first day with it, then the last pic is today after another 2 days with it and i dont know what has happend.

Ill give it my best shot to answer your questions buddy but as i say its on a budget and not sure about everythig...

Medium - Cheap multipurpose compost
Nutes - hasnt been fed any nutes yet (have some waiting not sure what brand but have a + b and pk down i think ?? Will check)
I think the plant is in veg stage at the moment no pistils
Just watering as and when it needs soil is dry top inch is dry, + i dont have a ph tester at the moment so using bottled water??
Again as for temps no thermometer but it is gettig quite warm in there with the new light maybe its that??
Pot size - the pot is just a storage tub i have found and drilled some holes in the bottom so not to sure on that.

Sorry for the lack of info hope you can help...

Ps if any of this doesnt make sense it's because im pretty high right now on a smoke sesh with my buddy :D

PEACE!!

You just burned the hell out of it. You said you been a long time reader of RIU? In your reading, didnt you come across as to how far your light should be from seedlings?

I did think that but wasnt sure as it didnt feel to hot to start with but i guess the heat must have built up :/
Yes my understanding with cfl's are they can be as close as you can get them and still bare your hand being under there, if its too hot/very warm then in needs to be raised...??

Also there is no extraction at the moment as it was just a quick setup going to get onto that today.
But i have left the door open with a fan blowing directly in there now so werll see what happens? Do you guys think its worth keeping or order another seed??
Thanks

P.S:- The last pic is of the nutes and pk i have just cheap ones from poundland i think ?

Order another seed and leave that one alone. It is possible it might come back. A slim chance but still a chance. Yeah you cooked that little girl.

You trying to grow or cook like an easy bake oven? You could probably bake some cookies if you put them that close. That light is about 10 times as big as your plant and the light is right on it... You should move it back like 1-2 feet for clones, NEVER have a light that close to ANY plant. Not only will the heat be too much but a small plant like that cant handle that much light.
