I just recently got in 3 black star lighthouse 100 watt UFO led 2w chip, now I was told that 300 watts of led=1000 hps now is this true? And how far spaced should the lights be from each other, and how far spaced from the canopy , and how many plants my 3× 100w leds?

Your 100w blackstars are probably 70w at most, and more likely 60w each. Basically with the 3 of them, you will have pretty much the same power as a 250w HPS, maybe a bit more but I would not count on it. I think you should go with no more than 4.5 sq. ft. and 2 or 3 plants if you don't use LST, SOG/SCROG

I have a 1000w hps I was going to use In conjunction with the leds is this a good idea or a waste of time either pick one or the other

It definitely can't hurt to use them with the 1000w hps, but how much they will benefit from adding such low wattage leds may be un-noticeable. Perhaps consider using the leds for veg and first week of 12/12 before using all that unneeded power. Just an idea.

No thats is a great idea use them all if you can , the more light and spectrum the better. Those Led's can get much closer to the canopy than the 1000w , you can bring the 1000w a lil closer with a air cooled hood. Good luck!

Sure can. Just try to keep them high above seedlings.until they can handle being closer, but be careful not to have them too high or they will stretch too much. You'll need to play with the distance some until you figure out the sweet spots.
