**need HELP with choosing a 150w hps system for my first AF indoor closet grow**

hey everyone, im trying to start my very first indoor closet grow but i needed help choosing a 150w HPS system. the space im going to be growing in only measures: 2.5ft length x 2ft wide x 5.2ft height . *i seen some on eBay and I needed advice on which brand would be better to start with. here are some that i seen:*

Well IMHO I probably would be careful with some of those lights, for one I didn't see anything about warranty info. Also you should go with one that has a remote ballast to cut down on heat in your grow area. If I were you I would take a look at this light HTG it may be a bit more but not by much and the quality is better IMHO but YMMV.

If you can swing a 250w, I would go for that in your set-up. HTG has some good lighting on the cheap. If you can afford this HTG 250w MH/HPS you will not be disappointed and you will see better yields.

@kushnotbush; yea that's what i first had in mind but the one i seen on eBay was already used. and on the HTG site the shipping is too much, when i still got more supplies that i need. you have any discounts for that site?

they had free shipping at the HTG site when i clicked checkout on the 250w mh/hps system

ok im a moron..didnt enter my zip...they ship ups..an extra 20 bones doesnt seem bad..i think that is the perfect light for my space...gonna order it today

if you havent already ordered you can get a 250w CMH set up for less than 100$... here's how...
call up some local electrical supply companies and see if they sell Philips products.
You need:
a ceramic metal halide 250w bulb part number CDM250S50/HOR/4K/ALTO
a 250w magnetic HPS ballast
some wire and wire nuts
a socket to wire up (this is what your bulb screws in to, they cost about $3)
some mylar
a pair between your legs to do it yourself, as it is very easy and requires little skill. Follow the diagram here you can literally wire it up in like 3 minutes, most of the ballasts have the diagram printed right on the thing. http://www.onlinepot.org/grow/wiringlights.htm
