Is this sudden heatwave in Cali fucking anyone else's shit up?

today my box got to 94 degrees before 10 am!

anyone got any suggestions on an easy and cheap way to cool this bitch down?

my box is 4x4x2 made out of 1/4 inch plywood (walls) and 1/2 plywood.

i have 1 inch thick styrofoam insulation on all walls including ceiling. mylar ontop of that.

one 4 inch PC blowing onto the plants and a few passive exhaust holes.

my plants are in an AeroGarden Pro 200, with 4 cfls added for flowering. cant remember watts.

the whole setup works well when its around 70 outside.

will post pics after they load up

you need to hook a pc fan or 2 up to them exhaust holes, That 4'' fan you have blowing on your plants isn't cutting it bro, that should take care of it

just reinstalled my 3" fans that i had going before this fiasco.

but blowing hot air all the time. doesnt seems to help out, i need a simple way to cool them down besides blowing more hot air.

No have a couple hooked up that sucks air out of the box, or have a in fan (in vent) sucking air in behind the 4'' fan (that blows over the plants) that way it keeps blowing new fresh air over your plants blowing towards the out hole (vent). If you blow the radiant heat from the CFL's to the out vent it'll help get rid of the heat while pushing fresh air over your plants at the same time :weed:

Yeah across from the other fan but have the fan your putting in sucking air out. That way fresh air comes in goes across your plants turning into heated air then the out fan sucks the heated air out , it'll make it cooler in there :joint:

the diesel ryder in the last picture has been flowering for about 3 weeks. all others are around 3.5 to 4 weeks except my GDP, just put her in last week.
its only 5 inches tall though.

Nice man, hairs look a little red for 3-4 weeks but looks sweet can see the crystals coming along nice. Yeah heat can be a pain. You can try to increase the Co2 in there by using some dry ice (suggesting dry ice cause it'll help cool a bit too) One of the benefits from Co2 is being able to have your plants grow in higher temps. When the temps get too high it'll slow the plants growth down and other undesired effects. With Co2 its more "flexible" if you will.

looking good man, very good.

hey i was wondering, would it benefit any if i took the insulation off? it really doesn't seem to do more than keep heat IN.

Go for it, its all trial and error. Take it out then give it 20 min or so see if theres a change,
