need help with designing drip system for soil

hey guys,
i'm going to be setting up a drip system because i'm going to be out of town for a while, and have to leave my girls unattended.

i can't find too much info on set up. i'm really unsure what i would need.

from what i read i need:
reservoir (trash barrel)
water pump
air pump
timer
hoses and fittings

i dont know where to find this stuff or exactly what types. i'm in a hurry, so if its homedepot/walmart equipment that would def help. and the cheaper the better.

i have 9 pots, 1 gallon now, but soon upgrading to 3 gallon. soil medium. been feeding about 1 gallon everyday, or 2 gallon every other.. so something to around this flow.

any help would be awesome!!

probably 2 weeks. someone could stop by to refill/top-off rez. but not everyday care...
girls about to go to flower, so not much maintenance to do

you'll need a good digital timer so you can have the water turn on for short periods like 1min 2or3 times a day

im not a pro with hydro but,

i would imagine dwc would work just fine especially if they are going into flower you could uc dwc get two extra totes "trash barrel" or a 55g drum that way they might only have to just come once you wouldnt have to worry about any extra fittings/drippers or timers just a good pump and some pvc

Ok dude, here is what you need. It's all sold in the same isle at home despot

A coil of "funny pipe" the semi flexible black hose 1/2 or 5/8 is the common size
A 5/8 T
A bag of 1/4 barbs (as many as the number of plant you have)
A small spool of 1/4 line. Air hose from your hydro store works better actually but whatever
A bag full of stakes that hold the 1/4 line. Look around you will see them.
A funny pipe puncher thing..to install the barbs in the funny pipe
A 7 day digital timer
Any cheap water pump air pump and air stone
A suitable sized container. (A 20 gallon tough tote is best. Black with a yellow top..they don't bulge when full of water

Ok, now make a large loop with the funny pipe..circle all the plants and connect them at the T.
Then cut a small length of hose to go from this T to your pump.
Now install a barb next to each container, hook the air hose to it, then run the hose to each plant and secure it with the stake.
Irrigation system done.

Now hook the pump to the digital timer. I'm thinking that it will only take 1-2minutes tops to soak your plants but give it a test and see. I would say two 2 minute waterings a week.

The how and why of the system. The Loop and T equalizes pressure between each barb so all plants will get approximately the same water. I wouldn't use dripper heads because they can clog and you will come home to dead plants. Air hose is much more flexible than the 1/4 drip line (which is designed to be burried and crush proof). You might need a hose clamp to attach your pipe to the pump.

Your looking at about $70 for everything.
