need help with heating and ventalating.

my growroom is 90"Lx80"Wx83"H. what is your best suggestion on to heat and ventalate the room? im growing with all 4' fluorescents. 6500k for veg and 3000K for flowering. i live in central new york it is very cold here durring winter. and im growing in my basement. which is about 50-60 degrees during winter. thank you for any help you can give me. i want to set the temp and not worry about it going up or down.

Just buy a small electric heater, wire it up to a thermostat set to say, 65 degrees and you should be good to go.
Insulating around the grow area, including the floor and ceiling will save the heater working too often and bumping up your electric bill.

should i buy an inwall heater or a space heater?

Just a small portable space heater will be fine. I use a 2kw adjustable one, I run it at half power and it heats up my 5x5x5' area in a minute or so, depending on my intake temps. Got it for £15 from a home depot type shop.

how many plants r u trying to grow??In new york its cold out here now but seasons about to change and if you are starting nowthen 24 hour lighting with the breeze would be perfect to start the veg..

im going to be growing 30-40 plants in my basement. i cant wait to finish the room and get started. i want all aspects and problems fixed before i start so i have less to worry about later and less stress on the plants. im going to start at 24/0 for 2 weeks then go to 18/6 for veg an then do a 36hr dark before i go into the 12/12 for flowering. does it do anything different if i run a 10/14 or is the 12/12 the best grow time

30-40 plants how much bulbs are you planning to have???if so you are better off getting a hid maybe 2 1000 watts for all those plants.I would do 2 plants for each pair of flouros..

i have 10 so far waiting on friend to drop off another 10-15 lights. im not going to use hid or hps. im doing the whole grow old school just like my father. when he grow he used 1 4' for 8 plants and still got real good bud out of it. the set up will be 4-6 plants for each top light. plus im using side lights to. all lights are T12 with 6500K for veg and 3000K for flower. plus im using organic nutes.whats the cost to run 2 1000watts hid or hps? my use on next grow not sure yet. kinda hard to spend that kind of money right now got laid off for work and there isnt any jobs around where i live.

for a 1000 watt for me 18 hours a month will be about a hundred.thats why i just use it to flower.I also live in ny.so the price would be the same and jobs is like that for everybody right now.

but if u use it for flowering shouldnt u only use it for 12hrs a day not 18? and u said i should use 2 1000hps for the size of my grow so thats $200 a month for power to rum them. damn my power bill is already over $300. any clue where to get a nice quite generator that runs on diesel or old motor oil i can get that stuff for free well i know how to make close to deisel it will run a car or truck so y not a generator.

yeah i use it for 12 hrs i was just sayin to run it for 18 hrs it would be 100 dollars for a 1000 watt.but i dont know where to find a generator..People tell me to look into that for a lower electric bill..

u wouldnt happen to have any pix on how u wired the thermastat to the heater would you?

unfortunately not right now but by next week ill have it thats when ill put up another journal and you can see my setup..

thanks..Im just waiting for the beans i ordered to arrive.I ordered some exotic strains so i can enjoy it with the weather.I figure i start them now and they will be ready by june-july.I ordered dna genetics kushberry,paradise seeds dela haze,greenhouse seeds super lemon haze and big bang.They are all feminized and i get some free fem seeds purple lady,pure power and white widow.Those strains are all cup winners and exotic.

of course as soon as they show ill start my thread and let u know..And for some reason i still want to get some more strains

where do u order ur seeds from? any problems with the seeds u got when u ordered?
