I thort I done well in sound proofing but I guess not 100% .
My grow is in my garage and while the inline fans are on I can hear the airflow
Its not that loud but still there.

Ive built my walls with plaster and insulation and there's 2 wall b4 being in the area were people might be..

Is there any way to fix this issue I was thiking if I had somthing to distract the sound of the grow like radio or sumthing but need it to be on constantly and raise suspicion.

Help please :)

Sound is coming from the intake air going Into the room ive tried useing a home made box didnt work.

I can only hear it coz the garage is dead silent I need a diversion sound

my fan is quieter than the sound of the rushing air it creates.

Only thing I can think of is the placement of your air intake. Maybe the roof of your garage would be better than current position?

I have my outtake going into the roof of the garage. So might not work.
That fidge idea sounds good if I could find one that makes a fair bit of noise uld work great

It doesnt even have to be noisy, if anyone asks what that sound is just blame it on the mini fridge, say it was free from a friend so it seems used and abused

How about just installing a fan in the garage? you could even loosen it a little so that it'll make noise when it spins lol

Well freezers and refrigerators do vent air, i had an old mini fridge that was real noisy which is why that came to mind, u could always use one of those older model air cleaner things, had one of those that were noisy also, sounds like a low powered fan.

If u have the money invest in a mini fridge and put that sucker right there by the vent, keep your beer in it.
This is too funny! I put the fridge in my basement right next to the door of my grow room.

My grow room is in a back basement room, all cement walls, and I still had to put 1" foam insulation on the door and seal every single little crack with foam, and I could still hear it slightly. I put a huge shelving unit in from of the door so you can't see it, but you could still hear it. I put the fridge next to my shelving unit and BAM it just sounds like the fridge.

It's really hard to make it 100% silent, but just having the fridge there was enough to mask the sound completely. Now I don't worry if a plumber or electrician or pest control goes in my basement.

So I agree with what everyone is saying. Even if you put a loud fan in your garage it will probably be enough to blend with the noise and mask the sound.

A fridge in a garage isn't suspect at all either. A nosey guest might question a fan or abnormal device running in your garage 24/7. A freezer or fridge is a good idea and you could probably get a nice loud one from craigslist, lol.

Yeah I was going to say the same thing with a fan its a little sus having it run 24 7.
But ill out the freazer there for distraction and mayb a fish tank with air bubbles and pumps ;)
