need help! wondering electricity bill prices

hi there everyone.
i need help planning my growroom setup, wondering which lights to buy. the lighting isnt the problem, however the electricity bills do concern me. if any grower with anything ranging from a 200 watt to an 1000 watt lights could tell me around how much the bills would be, if the lights were on say . .an average of 12/12? if anyone can contribute much appreciated

I am quoting this from "Mel Franks Marijuanas Growers Guide." Its says "A four tube regular output eight foot ficture draws about 320 watts per hour or about the same as a color tv. The cost increases to your electric bill will be about 2 to 6 dollars, depending on local rates." This book was published in 1997, so its not as accurate as you would like but it gives you a general idea that its not as expensive as you may think. The cost is based on a 24 hour photo period. Based on my experience a 50 watt hps draws 52 dollars a year in electric cost at todays rates. Which basically means for every watt you will pay a dollar a year. This equation will increase with HID lamps of 400 watts or more. If you are only doing 12/12 photo period, you can figure that its .50 cents per year per watt. I hope this helps i have a 150 watt hps and a 50 watt hps, i had the 150 watt turned on 24 hours a day by itself with aproximitly a ten to thirteen dollar increase a month. depending on your aera...for my 1k i seen a 40doller increase in veg months an 30 increase in flowering...peace az
