Here's the situation:

I am growing a regular sativa, Barney's Pineapple Chunks.
It is 8 weeks in to flowering and it has several budding sites that are getting ready to form. Since I am growing in a pc case, I am concerned about my lights.
I had my lights fall on my plant before with very minimal damage, just burned 2 or 3 leaves. I am getting ready to go out of town Friday and will be back on Tuesday night. I was thinking of have the lights off during this period. What are your ideas.
They have been on 12/12 for 8 weeks.

My Plant wont have light Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
The normal light schedule is from 3AM-3PM. on at 3AM, off at 3PM

What would you do.?

Thanks for your help

I'd leave the light on the timer, and saturate the pot just before you leave, not too much, but just get everything nice and wet! ;D Lol

I have a timer, I am worried that my lights my fall and burn my plant again.
I am using 4 CFL Lights (60w each)
I could change the lights to 13w colored bulbs that dont get that hot
I just dont want the lights to burn the plant,
I am growing in a PC Case and the lights have burned them before.
Luckily I was able to solve the problem with very minimal damage

i turned my lights off for 3+ days before to eliminate fire hazard while i was away. they were a few weeks or more into flower and survived just fine.

why are you posting this in the outdoor section though?

I made a mistake and posted outdoors..sorry...
I did fix the lights and they seem secure...I am just concerned because the plant is real tall and is almost touching the light (3-4 inches away)

I think the screen will slow down the vertical growth just enough...4 days shouldn't be long enough for them to reach the lights, imo

o.o I wouldn't risk to open my tent when my plants are sleeping even if I saw santa go down the passive intake ontop.

let alone to take a picture :P
