Very new so idk where to post this thread or anything like that, but my plant is 9 weeks into flowering. These are pictures of the most developed colas and they look nothing like what Ive seen on the internet. Trichomes are tiny most with no heads, and is this bud? Early bud? Or hermaphrodite plant? It's my first grow and put these plants through absolute hell so if it's hermie or just taking forever I have no idea. I know I made tons of mistakes and next time I wont but id like to know if this is bud, like early bud, very immature bud cuz it doesn't look like bud at all or if there's seeds in there or something. Also leaves are dying at bottom of plant and I heard that's a sign flowering is coming to an end but my bud(if it is bud) looks nothing like it should IMO. Strain is northern lights by ministry of cannabis. Any help is appreciated. Ty :)

Welcome to RIU

Those are buds and you're pretty close to harvest. Maybe it's the strain but the're on the airy side instead of being dense. Nonetheless, something you can enjoy later on.

:peace:

Yes, what is the lighting? They aren't looking too bad, but they are a bit thin. What kind of grow is it? Soil or Hydro? What kind of nutrients are you giving it?

Ok so the story is: I had 2 plants side by side in a hydroponic top fed dwc system with a 10gallon reservoir. It eventually proved to be a bad idea having them right next to each other bud I didn't realize this til it was too late. I got a 24x24x24 tent which proved to be way too small. In the vegetative stage, I topped the shit out of the plants to make them take the whole tent(width wise) and all was good until I found about about the flowering stretch. I vegged them for around 2 and a half months to produce a lot of colas. When the flowering stretch happened, my colas started growing into the 300w galaxyhydro led light that I had hanging over them

I eventually had to duct tape the light to the top of the tent and the colas were still very close to it. Eventually, the duct tape became loose and the light fell on about 3 colas(many times) and ouch:( my poor girls I eventually opted for getting a larger 32x32x63 tent and bought another 300w roleandro full spectrum led light(comparable to Cree). And hung both lights around 12 inches away from the colas. During the vegetative stage, these plants were beautiful. Then, during flowering, I thought more nutes meant better buds so I gave them way too many and caused nitrogen toxicity, nutrient burn, and yellowing on some leaves due to light burn as well. I then decreased the amount of nutrients and everything was proceeding smoothly again. Until the light falling on the buds thing happened lmao. That happened at around week 7 of flowering and am currently in week 9. After all this, when can I expect a harvest?

I learned a lot during this grow and my next is going to be a lot better hopefully lol. I have them in an ac cooled room, with all the bottom tent vents open and a fan blowing at them form the top. The room is usually around 73 degrees f

I dont understand why anyone would wing it.
The expense of growing is high and guessing at it is ill
Its an easy, simple, no guesswork kind of plant
that just needs some specific controls in place to succeed indoors.
The first chapters of a grow bible could have saved this debacle/
Luckily you'll be left with some usable bud if you finish and dry it properly, all covered in those grow bibles too.
google rosenthal, cervantes, or its hit or miss. Never did succeed till I stopped following forum advice.

I winged it re indoor and Chem is kind of right in that it is better to educate your self by reading which it sounds like you have to a point re the DWC. If nothing else you'll still learn from fucking up lol. There is always next time :). And yup you got some nitrogen excess I would say.

I didn't wing it I read a lot beforehand but wasn't properly prepared. I thought I was but made dumb mistakes that I shouldnt have lol. Things that werent covered in the guide i used. But thank you both for the advice :)

Besides the N reducing your final potency.
Them girls got some extra light somewhere! The single leaves tell me so.....
You've got longer to go yet and it's that "extra" light that slowed you down and most likely effected the density......thus your issue's I see...
The only other thing would be that if the lighting was strictly controlled. You flipped them when they were not stable - I tend to like the former over the latter.

Well, at least you didn't get the common "too much P too early thing"....

Every run is a learning situation. No matter how long you've been growing!

Don't take what others tell you as a dis....They're only trying to help.
