Hi, I’ve recently got my self a small ish tent for my seeds, looking to pad it out with lights trays and everything else needed, can’t seem to find much on the net after looking and I was just wondering if anyone who grows from seeds using a separate tent would kindly share some photos to insipre me. The unit I’m using at the moment is a bit unreliable as it keeps switching off due to connection errors (and my daughter wants it back)

Thank you

Is that tent specifically for starting your seeds ?
You dont need intense lights for awhile from seed, you could get away with 4- 2ft t5 lights or 2-4 2ft led lights at 6500k both are cheap options. You can buy trays at any hydro store for like 4$ each. A small fan and your set. I just start all my seeds in solo cups lol with a very similar set up I described .

I use a basic 3x3 tent w/ an oscillating fan. Mars hydro fc3000 @25-50% intensity, hung 24" above seedlings. I've got a 4" exhaust running very low, oscillating fan is also on very low. I use a humidifier during seedling/early veg and keep RH around 60%. Temps low to mid 70s. Once they get big enough, I dial the light up and up-pot.

I had a little look round after, I managed to get a heated propagator with thermostat for seeds and a aeroponic propagator for cuttings both units have 2 lights each and a bigger white light for if I ever need anything bigger ,

i start seeds out on a metro rack shelving unit with 4' T5 bulbs (x2) in 4" seed cups - same idea as a solo cup. all they need is warmth and light for the first 2-3 wks. i moved them into the veg closet once they had a few true leaves.

I wouldn’t say I use a separate space to start seeds. I just get em in where they fit. This round I started straight into 1gal pots in a 2.5x2.5ft tent. Once they are ready to be transplanted, 3 will stay in this tent, and 9 will move to the 4x4 and into 5gal pots. IMG_7935.jpeg
All you really need in there for seedlings is a small light, a small fan, maybe a heat mat if it’s not warm enough.. and patience.

I’m growing with a hydro set up, so it’s easy to move things about (or at least I find it easer)

I have a 2x4 flex tent that I bought originally for males and now I use it for seeds and clones.
