Need ideas/helpful info!!FIRST GROW!!

Hi this is my first grow and i'm very limited with space and i don't have the money for the expensive hps lights and everything. I maintain the 18/6 hr ratio, i maintain about 70-75 degrees and im not sure if i am going get much out of the grow. Just give me some helpful tips or info about my first grow if you can. And my dad used to grow(haha) and he said that if i cut some leaves off in this stage of growing then it will fill out more and im not sure what you guys say to that. I need as many helpfull tips if possible. You all might be thinking like WOW that is shitty setup but that is all i can do for now.

Nah, dont cut any leaves, just add more lights as u can though, you're gonna want 100 watts of CFL's for each plant when they get bigger.

Well the ones in the pots are looking pretty good , the ones in the cups are stretching ....lower the lights down to within 2-3 inches of the tops of your plants.....And what ever you do don't start hacking fan leaves off....lowering the lights will keep your plants shorter and bushy....wat type of soil are you using and what is your watering schedule?????

For now you at least need 1 42w daylight cfl for each plant....that looks to me like 1 23w on the 4 plants in cups they are all going to strech to try to reach the light...

i am using seed starter soil with miracle grow in it. I water when the soil is feeling dry. I see a bit of stretching with the plants and the very long skinny one is reaching twords the light....so i should move the light closer i guess. And can anyone give me like a link for a great cheap 42w growing light? i would greatly appreciate it. I dont know what the good spectrum lights are..

Sure they are about $8.00 each.....I got mine at walmart.....you need to get the ones that say daylight on the pkg...

1 more thing...i have been growing for about 13 days....is the one in the big pot growing good or should it be bigger by now?

It looks good to me .....some strains grow faster than others ....so if it's healthy and you can tell it's grown every day or so...you have nothing to worry about for the time being.....try to get you some lights and keep me updated....hope the info was helpful....
