get a few y splitters and a few more bulbs , the middle of the cfl is where most of your light comes from, hanging them above them vertically like you have them is wasting most of it.

what kind of soil you using? Do not feed them again for a while, those are too young still. cannabis is very sensitive when it comes to overfertilizing, the fact they are seedlings makes it even worse. Whats your ph at?

I know that the 42 watt cfl are the soft white fluorescent bulbs which give off a red spectrum and the 27 watt is a true color bulb thats suppose to simulate daylight and gives off a blue spectrum.

i kinda think it depends on the lights you buy. i've bought 42 watt bulbs that are different spectrums. but at this point in your grow it doesn't really matter. i think you just need MORE light - period.

yup, thats correct. If smell is a concern you will need to make or buy a carbon filter. How strong(the cfm-cubic feet per minute) is the fan you currently have?
well, I don't have a fan yet, I'm designing a closet grow room that measures 4'L x 5'W x 8'H. what do you think is a good fan for that space? of course I'll make/buy a carbon filter, I definitely need odor control.

sorry don't mean to sound like a know it all or anything but i've been growing for a few years and have never had a 6.0 reading. i know hydro guys go that low but i just let my soil by where it wants to be and it's usually 6.8-7.02.

in soil???? how do you know?

I'm feeling a tad lazy and im not sure what your plans for what kind and how much lighting your going to use which really effects what your need will be. heres a article showing how you figure it out, I didnt write it and all credit goes to the original author/s.
How much ventilation do I need
in my marijuana grow room?

Each fan has a rating that tells you how many cubic feet of air per minute (CFM) it will move. When dealing with above average temperatures you will want your fan to exchange the grow room air 3-5 times in one minute, so for a room that is 40 cubic feet, a fan that is capable of moving 120-200 cfm (cubic feet per minute) is recommended. If you only want to replace depleted levels of co2 and are growing in a closet using fluorescents, one room change per five minutes (divide room size by 5) will be adequate.

To calculate your room size, multiply Width by Length by Height, this will give you the CFM rating required for one room change per minute.

Air that’s exhausted will be replaced by fresh air, which is drawn from
Passive Intakes-
located opposite the exhaust at the floor of your grow room (Recommended for closet grows)

somebody else needs to chime in here because that PH soil sounds really acid to me. after all the times i've grown i don't even check my water or soil anymore. i don't adjust anything at all. i have RO filtered water and fox farm soil and thats it.

my point here is NOT that i know what i'm doing or i have it all dialed in. i dont. my point is that i got into the same sort of water and soil PH testing and adjusting with PH up/down and now i think it just wasn't necessary. IMHO!
