Ok so i was looking around my woods near me and there is some ok spots up that you have to cut down a tree or two to get anysunlight but they are building this house in back of are house in the woods but they started like in the beging of the summer and never came back, All that is there is a basement in like a huge house shaped hole with concreat walls and sand and dirt and random stuff. So what do you think on my idea of growing a few plants insunked pots in the half built basement. Im just nervus because i dont want the worker people suddenly show up and take my plants...Get i get some advise?

On the bright side, you wouldnt have to worry about getting busted because the mexicanos would just steal those bad boys. I dont think i'd try it there for that reason.

Umm I wouldn't try your whole crop there. But trying a few there would be cool. They would probably turn out really well if it worked.

Well lets look at the situation, being that there was a work stopage i'd be willing to bet you've had bad weather, maybe snow & cold, also builders dont build basements then decide aw fuk it.

The construction crew left for one of two reasons, the first being bad weather & the second being that they are squeezing the home build into their schedule & they had to leave to go elsewhere.

They are comming back, count on it.

you should also consider that it may be a person building a house on just their own finances, (ie. little at a time). see that all the time down here, they could have just ran into some major setbacks on building, but i would be willing to wager that they come and check on it from time to time, and will prob resume construction some time in the near future. if not you will most likely see "for sale" signs. my advice would be to plant a few in some pots so that they are portable and put them somewhere that is kinda out of the way of the main house site, but still gets plenty of good sunlight; then just watch and wait. good luck man

Whish is exactly what is almost certain to happen. Why would you want to grow right in the middle of a house under construction? Good lord, think! Like Panhead says, why would anyone just start building a house and change their mind in the middle of it? It's not like they just somehow forgot where they put that basement. Of course they're coming back!
