Hey guys and dolls,
I had to rip down my last grow due to a move.. very sad day.. but that being said, I have gotten myself a place with a huge basement that I can play with... in the middle of nowhere :)

I am looking at a space 8X12 to tent in for flowering room only.

I am planning on using 2 X 1000 Watters in cool tubes.

Now for the questions:

1. For my grow it is a really dirty, spider infested place.. I never had to worry about pests, so can anyone recommend products to use to rid all critters I need to concern myself with? And supplier in Ontario?

2. The 12 foot long room has a wall leading into the furnace room and the exterier wall that has a borded over window that leads under a deck outside (perfect vent solution).. NOW.. would the best way to cool the lights be, setting the lights up inline, would I draw air from furnace room and blow outside? or from inside growroom and blow outside?

I can also vent inside and tie into ducts, but I would like to avoid that if at all possible.

3. Since my last grow was dramatically smaller and never got a chance to finish, I'm going to ask a really vauge question.
With 50 plants being harvested every 2 weeks, in a SOG (so short plants going into flower with 0 veg time) can I expect more than an OZ a plant or is that a pipe dream? I used to have all that kinda figured out but for some reason I can't put a finger on it know.

Going pretty big 50 plants every two weeks and hoping for a oz per plant.Good luck brother if you pull it off you will be in the weeds for sure.

You're not understanding the set up... which is cool, as it wasn't really pertinant to my questions... but for sake of discussion I will elaborate, and maybe get additional feedback.

what I plan to do is have likely 8-10 mother plants that I take clones from every two weeks...

These clones go directly into flower, no veg time.

Imagine a 4 tray and res system whereby each 2X3 tray in the set has a res specifically for that tray. now multiply that set up X4...

so I put 4 trays of clones into flower..
2 weeks later, I put in 4 more trays of clones, and the first tray is now on week 2 and get proper nutes for it being 2 weeks old. 2 weeks later, I put in 4 more trays of clones, and the 1st tray is now 4 weeks old, gets it's proper nutes for a 4-6 week old in flower.. and the others move up the chain accordingly.
after 2 more weeks another 4 trays of clones, the 1st trays are now going 6 weeks old, and when I put the new clones in - in an additional 2 weeks, the 1st tray will be 8 weeks, and ready to harvest. This continues now that the pipeline is full, and every 2 weeks I will be harvesting 4 trays of approx 50 plants that I'm thinking will average 3/4-1 oz per plant.... but that's why I'm asking.. is that (even at 8 weeks) too much to expect?

4 trays of small plants at 2x3.. or 15 plants per tray..is what I am setting it up for, so that's 60 plants every 2 weeks but I did want to leave some room for pulling out a few casualties now and again.. or grabbing a new mom etc..

It's a pretty straight forward set up and other than spending all day smoking I'll keep everyone updated as things progress...


Anyway.. anyone on the bugs or lights?

I feel you man I had to rip down my last grow to save my exgf from takin my equipment.

1. first things first, 'black flag' brand bug bomb. will kill everything there for less than 12 bucks. (obviously before grow)

2. light cooling answer depends on a lot of things. couple o ideas...

you need air circulation, but cooling from air inside the grow room can lead to very low humidity <15% as I learned from my last grow. total cfm exhaust >=500 in your room could create this problem.

def. dont blow the air back into the grow room, i'd say an inside shaded room would create less heat that outside but that depends on the climate

dead of winter... cold air from outside to hot bulbs back outside is best.


3. i'd say a bit o pipe dream... consider letting the plants veg to a low height 6-12 inches in your sog

Ok, I just moved back to Ontario, and I can't find bug bombs anywhere.. in Alberta.. they were anywhere you looked.. do you know if a retailer carries them.. I know Home Hardware doesn't carry any "bombs"... so I was wondering.. also.. are spiders bad for plants? that's what is mainly down there. Black flag.. would HD or Rona stock them?

Wasn't going to blow air back into grow room.. question is .. should I take an open end in grow room and blow it outside, or from the adjacent room and blow it outside. I would be warry of blowing cold air in the dead of winter into the grow room.. hard to level out minus 20 degree air going through your room.

Thanks for the thought on the lower humidity with exhausting the air from the room like that.. not something I could plan for yet, but even I guess if I ran from outside the grow and exhausted outlikely be a good idea ?.. again, last grow only got through about 2 months.. just about to clone and had to make a distance move short notice.

The clones I'd be taking would be minimum 6 inches before I cut. I know it's hard to visualize.. so I will post a pic of what I am talking about as far as the clone goes...and then maybe you could let me know what you think ok??? I really don't know for sure what to expect..

Cancer allows me all the time I need to do what I want. Thanks for your concern, but that don't answer my question now do it?

I know, you aren't familiar with the set up I am talking about, but what work would be involved? 10 minutes daily to ph balance the res?
3-4 hours ever 2 weeks to change out the res's? I think I can deal with that and not concider it work.(I am a farm boy, so to me that's nothing as far as time or maintenance) The manicuring would be on a SOG style grow.. so each plant would only be a main cola.. I trim up 50 every 2 weeks.. so with my little trimmer machine.. it takes no time.. or energy to trim. Not trying to sound like a dick, I know there is some time involved.. but work?

you said you want to harvest 50 every 2 wks? so at any given time you will have say 3 to 4 hundred plants not to mention the veg plants clones etc. trust me it will be lots of work but i wish you the best of luck and health. i hope you post pics.
