mh and hps are both better than cfl obviously, but most growers use hps for bloom because it penetrates more lumens per watt, and the orange spectrum "tricks" the plants to think its late summer/early fall

Buuuuuuut,,,,,,dual spectrum is popular also. Experiment......you'll get diff opinions in here. I use 30 % blue in flower and super crop.....no complaints and love the output.
Good luck.

Light cycle determines flowering. 12hrs tricks into thinking season is changing. You can flower with MH or CFL's.....but not till you go 12/12.

Lowe's and Home Depot have them too. Got one for $5 at Lowes. You'll probably pay more if you go to a hydro shop.

H.p.s is better for everthing to do with growing cannabis. If you are new too growing then make sure that your grow area temps are all bang on go for a 600 watt hps.The price of this light will be returned after the first grow. But i do like to renew the bulbs once a year for the full use of the light.

That is why the dual-arc MH/HPS HID bulbs were created. They put off both the MH light spectrum and the HPS light spectrum together and plants do appreciate it.

They are not available in every wattage HID light but if my memory serves me correctly they can be found for anything that is 400-watts or higher wattage.
