^ You are so right, you don't even need a point to prove it.

anyways, i did this with 2 plants last week. learned from the experience. passing on the knowledge.

oh wow height limit. sucks.
but again, my plants all have pistils everywhere and bushy af, but still under vegetation.
it's not what you say but what you can prove.

Transplanting is a relativley simple procedure. My plants rebound within 24-48 hours after transplanting. Giving them a weeks time before switching to flower is fine. I've done it as well as many growers on here. If alpha don lost his plants from transplanting he shouldn't be growing weed! And certainly not be giving out fucked up advice.

That doesn't give you alot of height for stretch.I personally would let them get around 16 inches then flower. They are looking good. Nice and bushy.

Good advice. Should I replace the 2700K with 6500K again then?

I'm not a cfl guy. Ask around I can't help you on that one. Don't go to flower then back to veg you don't have the height to let them get that tall.

Thanks for your help. I just added a few 6500K CFLs to make it almost a 1:1 ratio 2700K and 6500K... I hope that is good for another week and 1/2 or so... When plants reach 16", I just remove enough 6500 to get back to 3:1 ratio. That is what my gut is saying though...

Zack66: Actually... they are sitting on a table. If I would place the plants on the floor, that should give me another foot of height. So then I have 2.5 feet to work with. Would that change your recommendation to maybe a bit taller even????

Definetly more room for stretch. Are they indica strains? What is your exact height from floor to the lights highest point?

I probably have another foot and a half of free space up, but not much in width and depth ... I have 6 plants, none have shown sex yet. Could I switch to 12/12 until they show sex and then go back to 24/7...? I am thinking a few could be male statistically...
these pictures are much more clear and detail the dimensions of the plant better.
anywhos..
yes, you can switch to flowering stage to determine sex and you can switch back, but it will slow your process by so much. you'll spend a month or so waiting for your plant to revert back to its vegetation stage before it does anything else.

i suggest leaving her under 18/6 or whatever you have her on now until it sexes (doesnt seem too far away).
that way you can take her into flowering and you'll save atleast a months time being wasted.

This I agree with. Maybe not lose a month but , a week or two wasted. Not worth it in my book. It sounds like you have around 4 feet. I'd grow them to 20 inches then flower. That should get them around 30 inches or so at the end. You could harvest an ounce or two per plant. Good luck!

Zack66: Okay... so the only thing I know about the seeds is that they are Kush, so that must be Indica strain. I measured from floor mat to highest point where the lights could go, which would be just over 5 feet.

Alpha Don: Thanks for the advice, I am doing 24/7.

Thanks again for your advice. I will grow them up to 20" or around that if sex shows earlier. If all 6 turn our to be female, I might flip the switch a bit sooner as space is limited all around. Great help guys!!

Let them grow man. If it were me i'd grow them to 2 feet in veg. A week or 10 days before switch i'd chop a bunch of branching off the bottom of the plants. Concentrating on getting bigger colas up top. I veg 24/7 lights and it kicks ass. Here are 2 plants one vegged on 18/6 the other 24/7. You can see which grows better. Second pic is my current run of purple kush just going into flower room. They are 36 inches tall and expect finished height to be around 44-48 inches.

well kush isnt necessarily indica or sativa.. it can be both.

indica is an indoor strain which is intended for a mellow, night time buzz..
sativa is mainly an outdoor strain which is intended for a trippy, day time buzz..

saying that, if that indica can levitate your body off your bed,
and if that sativa can make you see leprechauns and shit,
then its kush.

hey zach,
regarding your plants under 18/6 and 24/0..
the right one is longer and more spaced out,
but the left one is shorter and more compact no?

couldn't that mean the overall produce could be the same?
sorry, i read a lot on plants and support the fact that they need a night time :p

The shorter one is a third smaller. The main stem is much smaller.Even with not the best eye sight one could see there is no comparison to overall size. The bigger plant has had a third of the bottom branching taken off. It was plenty bushy and will produce well. Some folks like 24/7 some 18/6. Plants still grow even with constant light. As far as your knowledge about indica being an indoor strain what do you think that in Afghanastan they grow their weed indoors? My strain purple kush is part purple afghani it certainly wasn't an indoor crop. You better do a bunch more reading cause you certainly need it. A couple of your thoughts are totally out there. Are you bmeat with a new name?

indica easier to grow indoors, cos of its shorter harvest time
sativa easier to grow outdoors cos it grows much bigger and it corresponds with days/nights of the sunny years better.

Okay guys, one more question: see picture of one of my Kush, 6 weeks old.

>>> That white thingy: does that mean this one is female?
