Starting to upset me now, i said no advertising, you don't think that counts? If you do it again i am going to delete the first post you made too, and any more that refer even remotely to the company.

5-7 oz dried is a respectable minimum PER plant for beginners to shoot for, (not including the smaller and lower buds.) If you are getting that per plant, in soil, on a 58 day flowering cycle, using a 600 watt light, you are doing well.

Guess its not advertising if someone ELSE says a similar comment regarding what i said. Sorry if i do not understand the workings of your site, you may delete me completely form this site if you feel it necessary, it may make more room for "Braggers" who don't REALLY want to help anyone with their growing, but want to look important. Sorry.

This area has more help than you could ever find in any class, i have given help, supplies and countless hours of teaching for absolutely free.
Comment all you want, but as i told you no naming the co, prices, class times etc. That is advertising. If you want to brag about how much people can learn from classes go for it, and if you provide enough proof that it is worth it people will ask you where to go off of the main site, in messages etc.
Don't act like i am being a jerk, this is my job around here, and i must do it completely. I have not edited anything that was not against TOS, which you should have read before signing up. I have been decent, and will continue to, but if i ask nicely i expect you to listen nicely.

58 is an average? No 58 is on the low end, anything with any amount of sativa too it, especially pure sativas can take up to 16 weeks, (112 days) so how exactly is 58 days average? if 58 was average, you would need ones that finished in 4 weeks, 28 days, and ones that finish in 12 weeks, then 8 would be average.
Seriously and you are teaching people?

The average strains most people want to grow in Colorado (and are available as clones from dispensaries in CO) are not the tall sativas that can take 9-12 weeks, they are more hybrids. Besides, there is not enough headroom in a spare bedroom or closet for tall, sativa plants with 9 inch inter-nodal distances (such as pure sour diesel or massachusetts chemdog), even when properly trellised. Also, theoretically, if a strain takes 30% longer to flower, wouldn't one hope that one would get 30% more bud, or that the smoke would be up to 30% more potent, or SOMETHING to make up for the extra month of electricity use (unless someone just particularly liked that strain). These aren't professional growers such as yourself, these are beginners. If someone was to say the sky was blue, there would be someone out there who would say "it doesn't look blue TODAY". There will always be doubters.

Decent explanation, although 58 days is still not average, but we can agree to disagree.
I am not a pro grower, nor have i ever been, but we do have those in our group who are and have been. You implied that we don't help each other, which really is what we strive for in this section.
There will always be newbies, and education is very important in everything, some of us don't learn so well from books. I am not against classes, i think they are a great idea in fact.
Feel free to tell us about your curriculum etc, just avoid what i have told you about and i won't hassle you.
This group in particular would probably be a great group to ask for advice in what should be in a class, i know i always have concerns about people overloading circuits and wires, fires suck, and they don't help us look better.
I apologize if i came off brash, i do that sometimes. Feel free to post here, we are a very welcoming community. And i can't do anything about the LINK that is easily accessed if anyone clicks on your name..... Hope a little extra web flow helps!!

"Legal aspects of growing, setting up a productive grow room, ultimate electrical safety, and advanced problem solving techniques"
LMAO, apparently that is already covered.
I like the site, tempting to sit in on a class sometime.
It really looks like you guys are doing something great here!!
Free classes for the terminally ill and handicapped?!? 40% discount for Veterans?
I apologize for even editing out the stuff i had to now.

I for one wouldn't lose any sleep over it, 99 dollars for one class? can't take much in with one class can we? the way I see it 99 dollars would buy me 2 months inet access (or a couple books), this would allow me fuckloads of info (good and bad) at my fingertips. nothing personal but if every post you make contains a link to your business that's just cheap advertising .

Legal issues are the easiest info to find out. As for classes, everyone also gets a 75 page student color handbook outlining everything learned in the course (as most people can only remember a few things in such a short time). Time always seems to be of the essence, and most people seem to feel they don't have the option of giving up a lot of time to learn this simple craft. Continuing education is always a big part of learning, and we always strive to get students to "never stop learning", and to continue to learn from as many diverse credible sources as possible, reading, web surfing, asking questions, etc. A 24 hour free Garden Support Program also helps people who have problems and can't figure things out, as we will send out a Colorado Licensed MMJ grower within 24 hours to remedy any of their home gardening problems in person (if they want). Homebound and Terminally ill get free classes and we have unpaid volunteers that can even help them regularly at their home with their legal gardens. In the end, we will be judged by our good deeds. I try to do many, and am truly grateful for everything.

In Colorado, an adult can grow and/ or process up to 6 plants INDOORS at their residence (with no more than 3 plants being in flowering mode). Recreational cannabis use is now legal for adults, and an adult can possess, give away to another adult, or transport up to 1 ounce of cannabis outside of your grow premises (your home). You can possess as much cannabis as you harvest off of your plants but it must be kept ON THE PREMISES IT WAS GROWN. One legislator tried to suggest a limit of 1 pound per premises, but it was voted down as it was not in the "spirit of how Amendment 64 was written". You can also legally aid someone over 21 in finding cannabis. Adults can make their own edibles also. Public use is still up in the air, but it is not legal right now to smoke in public. I was told once by a police officer when i asked him what was private: "Basically, anywhere you could legally have sex is considered private, including a zipped up tent at a non federally owned campground" (in a state that has legal recreational MMJ or Medical MMJ). I guess they are now considering that smoking in your garage with the door open, IS PUBLIC if neighbors can still see you. But again, the Amendment is written to regulate cannabis "as alcohol" is regulated, and I guess that would mean small penalties for public use as with an "open container" charge in a public place....like a park. Also you cannot legally grow in a separate structure such as a detached garage or a greenhouse in your back yard (unless you own a dispensary and have an "off premises grow permit" for that particular structure). Thats about it for the newest Colorado laws that will regulate us people who grow, who are NON-DISPENSARY owners!

Although it is legal up to an ounce.....sale is still a felony!? YES it is. What is the only other thing in the world that is legal in small quantities, but illegal in large quantities? Nitrous oxide !

Could you possibly quote a source on this one? I have not heard anything on this, and i tend to stay on top of the laws. Still cool as my greenhouse will be attached to my house, but i would love to see exactly how this is written.

As it is technically written (Amendment 64 section 3-b "PROVIDED THAT THE GROWING TAKES PLACE IN AN ENCLOSED, LOCKED SPACE," is all that they have said so far. However the dispensary owners are complaining because they have to pay a high "off premises" permit fee to grow anywhere other than at the dispensary, and they don't believe we should be allowed grow off premises. The attached structure recommendation has not yet been formally voted on yet by the Amendment 64 committee, and the Gov hasn't signed anything yet, but friends that have been attending the Amendment 64 committee sessions tell me the location thing supposedly is a security risk issue. For who I wonder? So, it is not written in stone yet, but it is one issue (besides thc-dui) that may affect all of us recreational growers. I wouldn't recommend growing outside of your residence until you are sure it is legal to do so (unless the risk outweighs the penalties). There was also some stupid talk in the sessions of a recommendation that we should have to DOUBLE lock our grow room doors in our houses...wtf?!! Parents don't have to "double lock" their liquor cabinets or medicine cabinets according to law....so why should we? I did however hear of the recommendation that in residential grow investigations (where sale is not an issue), that the police would "pull up the seventh plant" and over if you have more than 6 plants. Hmmm, we are still waiting to see if there will be any other penalties for having more than 6 plants, ... the police have to be paid for their investigation time somehow I guess, so I imagine maybe a big fine, but no jail or probation time. But in the long run, if one is growing say, only 2 plants every 4 months and getting 6 oz per plant, who would need more weed than that (unless they wanted to sell some on the black market!)? That's 3 oz per month to use (three quarters of an ounce a week to smoke), quite a respectable amount for one person- even to share with friends!

also I was wondering since it is important to know wtf you're doing why not just take a couple college classes related to horticulture. more costly and not specific to what we're doing here but still seems more reasonable than cramming in a one day class.
