Needing help cooling room

Alright so I got my 4x4x7 room with a 400 apollo and 6inch 440c.f.m fan. Won't fit comfortably in my only ACd room which is my room. The spare room it's in stays around 75-85 during the day. Which is causing by tent to be around 85 roughly 90. I was thinking possibly using the furnaces exhaust holes on our ceilings and running duct from my room to the grow cab. Problem is my attic stays over 100 degrees so idk if it will heat the air before It can reach my tent. Would the fan be able to do it? And my lights only at 50% the duct would be roughly 25 feet and 20 off it would be in the attic

cool tube or open reflector

if open reflector time to go cool tube ....if cool tube and passive air intake u need to go to powered intake (half the power of your exhaust so when shut still maintains negative pressure/smell controll)

if u are powered intake u need to cool the air coming in (outside the tent) or air directly into the tent
1 swamp cooler (50-75 bucks make yourself)
2 AC the room (window shaker is more effective then portables)
3 water chiller and a ice box on the powered intake

take a pic of your ducting path and light for us and we can help better right now those are the options i know will work

as for what u were talking about ........the air that is going into the room now is coming from the house that should be richer in Co2 and cooler then outside air

and u should change that 400w out for 600w and always run at 100%

Thanks, open reflector but wanting to go cool tube asap. Passive intake but using the 6in bottom air hole. I'll look into the swamp cooler. I'll post asap. I bought the light before deciding the tent. After this first grow I want to go 1k if heat issues stop. I'll be putting it at full 100% soon as the seeds pop.

your passive intake needs to be increased ......u want it double the size of the exhaust so u need a 12x12 inch hole

a 600w is all u need for a 4x4 ..........a 1000w is ment for a larger area 5x5 or a 6x6

What ever you do, add a little dry ice so to make fog. It won't do much to cool the room but it will look really neat.

Alright and the the side air intake flaps don't shut or anything so their always open. I'll look into the 600. Thanks for the advice.

Nomatter what your issues are, from this picture, your #1 priotity using that hydro setup in there should be getting ALL electrical off of the floor of the tent...use some old cables laying around your house to get them up off the floor if you have to, or some $.99 twine from the store, but ab.sol.ute.ly get that ballast and powe strip up off the floor. :wall: Rule #1 for any type of grow op. IMO
Just some friendly advice :bigjoint:
And as for your cooling issue, go for a 600watt bulb and go cool tube, and you should have no more issues, and much better bud. :weed:

Wiring was gonna be hung asap lol and ballast is now outside tent. The tub has no water in it I was just finishing up my fan issues and didn't bother with it yet lol. All ready planning on getting either a 600 or 1000w, but wanted to get a grow under by Belt before I spend even more money on a new light.

Yea, that size tent is made for a 600, I wouldn't ever put one of my 1000's. In there and risk burning it down lol BUT that 400 you've already got would do just fine for 1 nice healthy lady, but if you're planning on using that 2 plant system there, I wouldn't expect anything special from under that light with more than 1 plant under it, like I said.

Alright thanks, my current plan is to veg two plants under it and then buy a 600 before I flower. Then take the 400 into this other small space I have and make a mother, then run clones and autos for a decently nice perpetual in a way lol

Sounds pretty solid....I grew like this one time, my firs time when I was 16 in my closet and a 600watt mh/hps bulb with 3 plants. Yeild sucked, but bud was killer....fast forward 8 years later and im doing it on a big scale for the love of the hobbie, love of the bud, and enough to justify the money I've spent on it all so far lol just got my 12'x14' bloom walls up, completely today and have to build the 12'x8' veg room tomorrow, and run al the electrical and plastic...-__- its been a fun/expensive week. smh

Ya, with a good enough fan, that insulated ducting isn't gonna do anything for you except waste your money IMO, best thing you can do is get some 6" (or 8" depending on what your tent and cooltube are setup for) 25' of ducting for less than $30, just bust the jigsaw, or wholesale and get that hot ass attic air circulating up, and out of the house completely, after passing through you light/tent...I know it sounds, like, alot of,work, but it really isn't, you just need about 2 hours at the most...and if you plan on doing this for a long time up there, or plan on expanding to maybe 4 to 12 plants down the road, then this HAS to be done for temp reasons, but also to keep a negative air pressure with fresh air from the other rooms downstairs throughout your house supplying their cooler air up to the attic as the fan blows the 100* + air out the roof
.... bongsmilie but that's none ofmy business tho...:bigjoint:

Lmao I'm just messing around, not trying to sound like a dick, but when dealing with this tiny bit of pre-existing ducting that you have in that tent, the only time insulated vs. Non-insultaed comes into play is when you're Cooking with multiple 1000's and the temperature of the ducting to the touch climbs up to 200* or even more, then, yes, get some insulated ducting to,keep that piping heat inside the pipe and out the roof, instead of it putting the heat off back into your room, or house if you don't have the extra cash to just buy a bigger, better fan. Plain and simple. :hump:
