hello im havin some wilting/drooping issues w/ my 4 strawberry cough plants after washing them with a neem oil solution bc i noticed a couple tiny holes looked like a very small pest issue. used dyna-gro 100% neem oil mixed w/ dish soap in the exactly amount that is said. i put it on, wiped the excess from around them and let them dry... (upon further reading i saw that u can wash them off but i'm only in the vegg'ing stage so it didnt say i needed to.) anyways i let them dry off pretty much then turned my hps back on.. everything looked good until it was about bed time for the plants then they got all droopy and ugly looking! checked this morning and they were still droopy so i thought maybe some neem got into my reservior so i put new water and nutes in. ph is always at 6.0... whats going on here? neem oil f*ckin sucks! ps. plants are still very green and look healthy they are just all droopy and the leaves are pointing inwards (example: making an open fist, the leaves being your fingers) hope someone has some incite on this bc i'm all worried now. hopin they just come back.

if you dont wash the oil off fairly well the leaves will do that from the pores being clogged with the oil.( i think) i have used neem in the past and had the same prob. i had to mix mine @ 1/4 strength spray the plants when lights are about to go off and respray with plain water right before lights come back on the to get it to stop the leave curling crap. i did that every 3rd day for a week to get rid of my aphed prob.
hope this helps.

na i didnt, but i didnt let mine have any light on when it was on the leaves. neem oil is kinda like wax. when its hot is oily, but when it cooled it soildifies. if its hot when the lights are on it will be oily enough to get into the pores and clog them puppies up.

u might try to wash it off with warmer water. i dont know this will work, but try it on a few leaves and youll know, and can let me know. lol hope this helps

not sure how long its been but i've sprayed all the leaves a bunch a few times once they've dried off.. so far nothing has really changed as far as the leaves straightening out flat like they were, still coming in... how long will it take to get back to normal? thanks for the tips already bro. anyone else's input would be great too.

Sounds like you sprayed with the lights on, I've done that once, they should come back fine, just don't spray with the lights on.

I use Einstein Oil, I think it's great, Neem is awesome.

Isn't dyna gro neem oil not cold pressed? I have used einstein oil for years and I think it is the cat's meow for my applications.

pretty sure it is.. another thing.. the plants are only about 8-10 inches bc i did a little LST so they have more room to grow.. so they bushy as hell for 8-10 inches. anyways, most of the inward curling on the leaves are on the big fan leaves, should i snip them off or just leave them there? they look and feel pretty healthy... i just hate eye-sores. :/

Definately leave them there, you don't want to stunt the growth anymore, I was late spraying one morning, and thought they'd have time to dry before the lights came on, they should've been pretty dry but the fan leaves curled, mine came out of it without a problem.

I guess it depends on how burnt they got from the light.

I know someone who constantly sprayed neem everyday, lights on, and his plants grew with the nastiest leaves, like you describe, it didn't kill them, but constantly harming them made them turn out bad.

If you're still vegging, let them grow out of it then flower.

I started with neem and found it to be COMPLETELY and totally ineffective. I began using a homemade tobacco tea, now THAT kicks ass and is a hell of a lot easier to find and make. It doesn't have a funky smell, either, if you use a good organic tobacco with no additives.

10g/liter hot water, steeped overnight, strained, add a wee bit of soap (non-antibacteria/antimicrobial, those soaps are the devil) and apply, hitting ALL surfaces and the soil surface. Try not to get too much on your skin or you'll get a nicotine buzz.

On askew- If you put a pound of ground tobacco in a liter of grain alcohol, let it steep sealed for a week, strain out the tobacco and evaporate the alcohol, your left with a tobacco resin.

(Five grams eaten is deadly)

Not that anyone would ever poison anyone.

Tobacco is deadly at certain levels is all, I heard about tobacco tinctures in one of the first books on marijuana horticulture, dismissed it as outdated, and figured it might taint the flavor of the herb. I don't spray any insecticide on my plants.

good lookin on the advice norml & maiden, i figured i shouldn't snip them off because they really dont looke back they just have that damn curl shit.. i'm vegg'in under a 1000w hps/mh dual arc bulb.. the one plant i have is slowly actually turning normal again, same with another. the 2 others look good just curly, all and all good though. just to give them some rest i popped my flouros on it bc it seemed like it might give the plant some R&R time. any sense to this?
