Neem Oil on buds

I noticed I had a problem with aphids so I decided to purchase some Neem oil to kill those soft body pests. I Mixed 1 liter of water with 15mls neem oil and a lil bit of dish soap. I sprayed the plants in their entirety with the solution 5 mins before the lights went off and 10 mins after (with a 40w cfl on to lightup the room). Today I noticed that some of the hairs are starting to turn brown and curl up. Should I not of sprayed the buds? The plants are only 3 weeks into bloom so I know their's still a lot of time for growth and development. I'm just concerned with what I should do (or should of done) and what I need to do to counter-act any harmful effects I might have caused.

Neem oil on buds is not a good idea. It also tastes like shit when smoked.

Why didn't you ask BEFORE you douched the buds?

Not sure what you can do about it now. Trying to wash it off will only invite bud rot.

Next time, research first.

aye, I def should of done more research first.. I don't think the budswill be completely ruined because they are still at an early developmental stage; can anyone agree or disagree with this from past experience?

Depends on how strong your neem oil was, if your early in flower say 2-4 weeks I would think it would break down before harvest. I hate neem personally, I use dr doom spidermite knock out and pyola which is a canola oil and pyrithrin spray. And allways spray with the lights off with plenty of time to dry till the lights come on.

Would it be a good idea to give the plants a foiliar spray of bloom nutes or anything of that nature? What can I do to enhance the smell of the buds besides molassis during the finals weeks of budding?

I wouldn't foliar spray anything in flower, especially not on the buds. Molasses goes in the soil for the BB, not on the plant.

Trying to keep you from having to learn the hard way, like I did.

Mos def, ya, I wouldn't try to spray my plant with Molasses, I know that goes in the soil, I think it's too dense to spray anyway, but anythings possible. Just wondering what else I can do to help counteract the nasty taste of neem oil (if it's an issue) during the final few weeks. From what I've read Neem is able to be used up to 2/3 weeks before harvest as a foliar and will break-down before ill effects are induced to the final product. I'll make sure to just rub the neem onto the infected leaves this next time as opposed to dousing the entire healthy plant.

So beside Molasses, kelp, and gravity is there anything else I can do to enhance the final products density, aroma, and flavor?

More people are learning to leave the entire plant intact, sunleaves and all during drying to slow the process and seal in more flavors and smells. I'm not sure where the odd idea of cutting off sunleaves at harvest time was started, but thankfully the trend is changing. Also, now that growers have access to moisture meters, it has been found that it's better to slow drying and start curing while there is still some moisture in the bud. Drying to the point of 'stem snap' while still hanging is a thing of the past.

Thx Mister, I actually use that approach. In my opinion the bud is still developing (hairs are turning brown, crystals still developing, possibly even growth?) while the plant is hanging so taking away any leaves is depriving it of nutrients. Any other nutes I should be giving it? Currently I'm using Foxfarm Micro, Foxfarm Bloom, Snowstorm ultra, Duece Duece, Open sesame... They are 3 weeks into bloom.
