Hey I recently found out my neighbor is growing a male plant within 50 meters of my clones and lots of em, he says he knows what he is doing, but i am uncertain and don't want all mine to go to shit. So my question is, Is is possibly for my not to get pollunated with in that range? and if so why and how?

If he's got a male that close to your babies they will be pollinated. But, instead of "Fuck him, kill his plant" how about offer him some finished product if he removes it? Much more civilized way to handle the situation and you just might make a friend and not an enemy. . IMHO.

It really depends on locations. If you're both growing indoors, chances are you're ok. But if you're saying there's a way the pollen could possibly get to your plants, then I'd be concerned. I agree with GreatwhiteNorth, I'd try to reason with him, strike a deal, or something. There's no reason the dude should need to grow a male weed plant. If you courteously and reasonably hit him with some knowledge and info, I can't see why he wouldn't agree to get rid of the problem.

he might actually kno what hes doin in the fact hes collecting pollen for a reason if hes careful his will be ready to produce and will harvest the pollen without letting it spread but if hes an ass thats jus sayin " i kno what im doin" then trade him a couple clones or at least some final product if he'll kill it cause thats endangerment to a child man lol well at least it should be

He's ONLY growing male plants outdoors? Shitty...

Ask him nicely, offer him a trade...take the right steps...first

Then you could poison his plant in the middle of the night. Overfeed it, or water it with bleach or something.

I assume he's growing for pollen, so he'll probably chop it once it's ripe.

1 plant 50 yards away; If he's upwind, when the pods start opening, and your clones are budding, you may have a few seeds, but it's debatable.

Signs in Wind of Morocco Drug Crop
By MARLISE SIMONS
Published: Sunday, June 18, 1995

Scientists sampling the air in southern Spain the other day came across a surprising event, a great stream of marijuana pollen coming off the Mediterranean waters, carried by a warm southern wind.
The pollen, though invisible to the naked eye, was measured along no less than a 250-mile stretch of the Spanish coast, from Estepona to Cartagena, and it reached more than 100 miles inland, beyond Cordoba.
"This is exceptional," said Eugenio Dominguez, coordinator of Spain's Network for Aerobiology, which detected the particles. "We've never measured marijuana pollen in so many places."
Researchers soon established that the tiny grains appearing in their microscopes were harbingers of a likely bumper crop of marijuana in Morocco, across the water some 25 miles to the south. At this time of year, they said, the great marijuana plantations are in flower along the north coast of Morocco between Tangiers and the Algerian border.

An older NY Times article, but still relevant.
Here's the link if you'd like to read the rest.

He seems to know what he is doing, after many a time of trying to reason with him, i also have other plants with him in different far off locations, so pissing him off isn't really an option, too close to home and the repurcussion could be horrible. Well he described to me that he is pinching off the nuts of it every morning and when he is ready to pollunate his own surrounding plants, he will place a plastic bag over the branch he will let go to nuts, and then cut the branch off and place over his females and therefore control pollunation to his and his alone plant. If he is as smart as he thinks he is, time will only tell and maybe i might learn a thing or two. Any input?

Water his plant with a liter of used motor oil. It will kill his plant and will stop him from growing anything there again.

all it takes is the wind to blow in the direction of your babies and your screwed, I personally would would offer plant for plant, especially if you know yours are ladies.

well like he said this is his grow partner apparently so why piss him off and from what he explained he is controlling it to a point the bag trick is quite effective in keeping it contained but tell him you heard a wet paper bag collects more and holds it in there so he has more of a chance of his ladies getting pollinated and it helps you the pollen sticks to the bag so it doesnt escape, you mite end up with a seed you mite not but hey read great whites post pollen can travel far distances so it mite not be his thats the problem so dont be pissed if it happens its one of those things about growin with mother nature

Please don't do this...anywhere!

Or this....

I doubt you have pistils yet...nor does he, or he would not be doing it. He probably started it inside and put him out early, right? Any pollen blown around before the girls show their pretties will die before it can hurt the pre-pubescent girlies. If they (the ladies) are already flowering...no need for the plastic baggie...save it for the seeds!
