Neighbors dog wont go home

Lived in the same country home for 14+ years with the same neighbor. 12 years ago they got a dog and we had our son. Our house is where my dog and all my neighbors dogs hang out. Cookie cutter "Bob" and I are different people,bothers him enough to yell at his dog but building a fence would ruin his emaculate theme I guess. When the kids got old enough to play with eachother they were told to go home, they'd call for an invite. They didn't have our number. Years went by and the dogs visits got longer. My kids were told to stop feeding the dog. Other than cat food swiped from the top of our dryer we hadn't. Dog is getting pretty old now, hip problems etc. it likes someone at home making the trip when person is home. I think foods going to be available here now. It must suck being so terrific and plastic that your dog won't come home. I have maybe shared 3 sentences with them since our introduction I'm never aproached for some reason. Was mowing today and got ruffled. I know the dog will fall over and die here eventually any thoughts?

I dont understand what your getting at. The dog has been going to your place for years and staying there, yet you dont speak to your neighbour and now the dog is getting old...Man, I just realised how fuckin high I am...

If i get it right, your neighbors won't feed their dog & told your family to don't either. If that's the whole case i wouldn't worry at all. Your kids are gonna keep feeding him even if God Himself come down & tell them to don't. And i can't find a reason to don't feed him yourself if you don't have a problem that he'll keep comin to your house. As you said you're not that close with your neighbors. If they have a problem with that, then just feed him themselves or.. I don't know.. Sue you..:lol::roll::p

Idk either,all my dogs have liked me so I haven't had to be a Dick to anyone because my dog likes them more.

They feed it or it'd starve, was I supposed to throw rocks at it for stoppin by? I guess "my free dog" is awesome just have to give it to the neighbors when it croaks.

Your neighbors sound like assholes. If be dies on your property. Send him off right. He seems like a good old dog that just wants some love. Fuck your fucking neighbors.

I really can't get your concern. If you don't have a problem with the dog comin to your house, then there is no problem. If they have a problem with that.. well then it's theirs problem. I don't think throwing rocks to him cuz your neighbors are gettin jealous (btw..LOL:roll: ) is the best idea.

Id report those mofo's sooooo fast there are laws to protect and let your neighbor tell judge why he is abusing his animal..at the very least fuck him and keep feeding that poor dog..IMO

seems like you do have a fondness for the old Dog , being you never said anything to the owner, with that said its the Dog that is the subject and not the owner ,over the years the dog has grown to be a part of you and your family, the old Dog has loyalty to you and your family in some sense of the word , and most likly you are spot on, he will come to his final resting place on your property if he or she can make it their when the time comes, obviously the thing to do is if that day comes out of respect for the dog that came to visit you each day is to make him or her comfortable and take care of the remains. I would say nothing to the owner till he comes looking for the dog and at that time you can get ruffled and speak your mind. I am going through the same thing other then the dog is traveling about a 1/2 mile everyday,I even put a nice collar on the dog and wrote big in marker if lost please contact . you think the owner would have got the hint or even a thank you for the color. NOPE.

My neighbors only crime is being a pompous plastic asshole with abandonment issues. We are -1/2 a mile apart but not close, they pass my house to come and go. The weasel only has something to say when its a woman or child. Guess I just wanted someone else to call him an asshole it does feel better.

sooo, you look after his dog? Why not say ,hey dude ,take your dog.. if it bothers you.. if not.. what's the issue..I would definitely say something within a few days of something annoying me.. not bottle it up ..

Bottled up is an understatement and well beyond this subject. Good dogs only bother crappy people, its a good dog an I ain't crappy.

just keep the dog, already yours anyway. only thing that sux is the dog is getting old. makes me sick when a friend passes.

in most cases if i had a choice to hang with the owner or the owners dog, i would choose the dog every time.

i need to go play with my dog now. she is so spoiled.
