Hi everyone.I have been growing for over 6 years now and never had this happen before.Plants are grown as follows.

All plants affected are clones from females that had no issues and yielded 2+ oz cured in 20 litre hempy buckets.

Nutes: half strength rock nutrients

Media:75%perlite 25% vermiculite

Light:400W MH on digital ballast with cool tube and extraction fan

Temps:Temps are the same as previous grow with mothers of these clones perhaps slightly warmer

Strain:Dinafem sweet deep grapefruit

I have flushed then watered with epsom salts 1 tsp per 4 litres

I have looked through the forum and couldn't see anything similar so i hope someone can point me in the right direction.

thank you for your reply Liddle.Yes i have a eco testr PH2 PH meter and calibrated it with PH 7 twice in 10 days.I have been growing my own meds for 6 years and never had any issues. Is there any bugs in the southern hemisphere that may do this?
Just to ad that i PH mixed nutrients to PH 5.8 for veg and PH 6.2 for flower and i sit air stone in nute solution for 3 hours before feeding.

Have you put any duct tape down sticky side up on the floor of the grow? Great way to check for crawling root dwelling critters.

Never seen anything like it but would guess its a pest...

Liddle I have used rock nutrients now for 5 years and would not change.

Cascadian i will put duct tape down this morning and see if i trap any pesky critters and get back with the results.

Thanks to all for the help.

Over fertilization possibly? Nutrients hitting over 3.0 en on soil or more can cause that. The plant will die from top to bottom. I had a querkle that did that to me

I had similar looking leaves in my outdoor last season. My ph was way too acidic. Can you try a different method to test? maybe drops or strips. Worth a shot.

weed1.jpgHi Sticky.I flushed over a week ago,run off was PH 6.1 being perlite/vermiculite i feed half strength all the way until flip.I have never had any real issues with sick plants in 6 years except the first year or so growing.
I came across this picture in a forum from a grower who did have broad mite in his grow and it looks very similar to my problems.:wall:

i've never heard of broad mites. if it was thrips, you'd see leaf spotting. how did you decide on the mix you grow in, and why? i like using those no pest strips when i have bug probs.

When i first started i used soil then a friend suggested hempy buckets. They are so simple.I have seen people use 100% perlite in them and others like me use 75% perlite and 25% vermiculite.I am open to suggestions any time to improve what i'm doing

Thank you all for your advice and input,i have been stalking this site and its forums for 6 years but never joined.I am now glad i did.
Updating progress on the sick girls.
I put them in new media perlite/vermiculite as i always use.I noticed during re potting they had almost no new root growth at all since i moved them from their 500ml cup into their 3 litre hempy. It has only been 12 hours since the move to new media and i can see a change already.I will update with new pics in a few days.I am adjusting nutes to PH5.8.
Once again i will say this site and its members are a great wealth of knowledge. It is a shame the majority of us have to hide our interest and passion from the law and our friends.I hope one day we can all enjoy the pleasure of growing and supplying our own herbal medication without being frowned upon by society and our peers.:leaf:
