I had no idea where this was all going to go when I signed up and posted this blog. I'm actually quite happy with what we've already accomplished as a group of fellow noobz to full on great growers. Just wanted to say I'm really happy we're all finding eachother and the experiences and info that's coming out of it. Also my whole idea on this was for all info to be shared here views thoughts ideas questions comments you name it. Not one or many ideas or thoughts be called stupid. Ask anything and hopefully someone chimes in to help. And not have to look through 30 different boards to get answers. Hopefully get some good friendships out of all of this as well. I hope to get together many of us for a munch meet and greet over coffee beers and food. Just to shit the shit. But that make take some more time. Thoughts from right now. Hope everyone is enjoying there day going sanding today. Wish me safety

Has beer gone down in bars? Non although it could cost $1 a bottle. Avg at a bar $7- $10z and is produced on a far greater scale then Marijuana.

$ standard price has always been $10 a gram most places for average weed.

There is a market for craft cannnabis. I don't see the prices falling down anytime soon. People might think a product being sold for $4 -$6 might be less quality vs $10-$15.

Some people might shop at target, while others might shop at Barneys NY.
A beer at a bar costs more because the bar itself is an overhead expense, not because of any inherent quality difference in the beer.

Yup, just waiting for the lunar new year to be over so I can chat with Jerry about prices. Also trying to find where I can get Pairui drivers instead of Meanwell, because... 1/3 less expensive with the same efficiency.
Jerry seems to have been kicked upstairs ... probably do to Growmau5 ... contact Vicky at [email protected] I think they'll be back after Feb 4th

Cutter has Pairu drivers cutter.com.au

I'm more looking to get the driver they sell in the kit (LGSU250) at closer to Alibaba prices. (; I'm running on a super low budget unfortunately, and trying to cut corners as best I can.

You might want to look at Citizen CLU048-1212 COBS and the new Luminous CMX6:Gen3 as soon as they're in general release. You'll save a bunch over Cree and their efficiency is getting better.

Made my move last night- plants were maxed out on height- So had to cut scrog screen, drop frame, remove lights, pump, heater;just to get girls out without damage-then drain res(13 gal.) and move to big tent(4' by 8') Like going from studio apt. to McMansion setup under 2 600wt. HPS and checked with light meter to get best coverage. Haul 15 gal.water from upstairs, mix nutes, and refill.Ran light off schedule(4:30 am.) and off to bed.Checked temps this morning and avg. 79 deg. so no issue overheating( have exhaust running full time) checked PPM (thought my meter had crapped out) only to realize that it only reads 3 digits max- it was saying 104(WTF?) Tested plain water-120ppm?. Then saw tiny figure on readout flashing saying x10 so I was at 1040 LOL, so minus water ppm, I was golden(Senior moment LOL). Figure at least 30-40 more days. I'm at 45 now.Hopefully done with stretch, and start to fatten up.
@callmemom- here's a link to NETA dispensary not too far from you(Northhampton) if you pursue medical card for your daughter. Takes you thru
entire process.

Hey, new person from Mass, Boston area. Been growing a garden for a long while now and jumped at the chance to do this. I have a couple friends that need it for medical crap, and myself as well. I started a few bag seeds and some randoms from Nirvana. My grow space is sadly a little underwhelming, as I've been trying to not spend money until I bought lights. I got a few t12's running with a couple cfl's helping out. After the New Year I'll order some COBs from Alibaba and get moving with some real seeds, though Took me two days to get through all your posts in here. Now that I'm done, I thought I
Welcome... I'm in the Lowell area if u ever need something don't be afraid to drop me a line.... ✌

I get things at the hydro store that are either too big to ship (soil) or that other stores aren't stocking because they need the shelf space for ice melt and snow shovels and I need it now.

I appreciate that they are there and have shinola when I need it. I don't mind paying a little extra once in a while. Every hobby has one.

Hey MA folks! I'm building some lights from scratch. I'm going with CXB's because they are tried and true, and honestly I just want to get these up and growing.

I'll be ordering soon from Alibaba and building multiple light fixtures, running 6 COBs on a HLG240-1050 for 3x3 areas. If you want to buy our stuff together to save on shipping and maybe a lower bulk price, let me know. We could talk about me building it for you if you wanted as well. I like the community building and would do it for free with a future promise of some cuts or flower.

For shopping at hydro stores, the one in Medford has pretty good prices. Ocean Forest (38.6 dry qts) for $20, Grow Big 1qt for $20 as price checkers.
