New Beginnings for Massachussetts and I

On a side note I think I'm gonna switch from coco to soil. Any tips/recommendations? Coco was good but I grew tired of having to mix my water every time. Especially when I would come home at night.

Also so I can grow outside.

GREAT NEWS! My son is so incredible. He just ordered me a 4x4x6.5 grow tent and a little LED light on amazon. I decided to keep both tents.

I am going to put the little little light inside the 3x2 tent for 3 seeds to veg. (no exhaust fan, yet)
I am going to put the mars300 & cfl’s inside the 4x4 tent for 3 to bloom. (exhaust fan and filter)

When the plants in the larger tent are ready, I will harvest them and hang them to dry in it. Once dried and ready for cure I will move the seedlings from the smaller tent into the larger one, and start 3 new seeds in the smaller one. WOO HOO!!!

can you say 6 at a time baby?? :-) Now to get more seeds..it never ends!

Don't know your setup but you can share one fan/filter between two tents. You need a "Y" duct connector and some ducting. Might save you a few bucks.....

It would be cool if one could draw air through the veg tent into the bloom tent and then out. This would help regulate temperatures in the bloom tent. But tents are designed to flow air, not be tightly sealed.

If you use a lot of soil, Dodge Grain in Salem, NH has 1.5cu' Ocean Forest and Happy Frog for $15 ... and no tax
I need to find a source of neem cake/meal, crab meal, kelp meal and glacial rock dust (or equiv). I can find them online but they rip you on shipping. It's all organic, just not vegetarian.....

Just need to find an excuse to go to Salem.

Another edit: anyone know If I can make nutrient tea for soil using hydroponic nutes? Specifically General Organics.

If you could put them end to end, add a low cfm booster fan to the intake, put a 6" / 8" piece of round metal duct between them and put an oversize charcoal filter (8" ??)and high cfm (450-500cfm) inline fan for the exhaust.

Esp when she moves to clones because she can't afford to buy auto seeds. Cheapest sustainable gardens often used clones.
Or 1 good auto seed and a $15 bottle of tiresias mist and she'd have 100's of auto fem seeds.

That's my plan for the end of this year. Been saving 1 seed from every pack. Just have to decide what I want to cross them all with. Figure that's easier than trying to herm and pollinate each strain. 10 or so plants in 2 liter bottles should make more auto fem seeds than I'll know what to do with. :bigjoint:

Here's one of the buds from the chopped plants. At first I thought it was possibly bud rot but the humidity and temps have stayed in the normal range and I've been bringing the humidity down as low as I can for the final few weeks of flower. I have broken a few colas apart and they showed no signs of budrot. A few weeks into flower I did have a huge PH fluctuation because my ph pen needed to be calibrated and was off by 2. That caused a deficiency and unfortunately 2 of my plants never fully recovered and got the chop early because of it and the stress from being directly under my light.

OK, so spraying this mist on an auto female branch, get female pollen, rub it on female flowers, and get female auto seeds?? it really works???

I heard you cant clone autos, can you?

for now tents will be in different rooms (space issues). I will have 2 clip fans in with the babies. They will only be in the nursery "veg" tent for about 4 weeks...then they will be re-potted and go into the big girl larger "bloom" tent with the fan/filter and oscillating floor fan till harvest. I am so excited:-)
