I just put together my first home made hydro and right now and finishing up my soil grows. I had a few questions.............Is there a way to transfer soil to hydro, do I need to put a timer on the water pump and if so what is the on off ratio, I am using dyna-grow is that an ok nuts and what should i go to, and I have 2 gph drippers on each hose would that be enough water?........+rep for help

Hey man I like your set up it looks clean. if your using hydroton you can just have the pump going the whole time i believe, as long as the roots stay moist. If you want to transfer to hydro, cloning is the best way... but to transfer your plant wash away the soil from your roots carfully and place the plant in the hydroton. it will be very traumatic for the plant but it should perk back to like, after a few days.

Clone is the easiest, but when watering plants in hydro you don't have to worry to much about how often you water the tops, you DON'T want to keep them wet or you'll get stem rot, I think I have mine turn on for 15min about 3 or 4 times during the light and once right before the lights come on. But just check the rockwool or what ever your using and when it gets dry....ish water. The plants for some reason like to get water from the top, even in DWC plus it will help mix the nutes

Yer m8 him above is right i also have just switched from soil to a hydr dripper system a 10 pot 1 mine was bought thou.my ph is between 5.5-6.2 im using canna aqua feed 3-4 times aday 4 15 mins im using a 400watt hps with 2' 4 inch r.v.k out take fans an there in a green room grow tent.temp is 75-80 an i have a warter heater an the temp is 17-18..........good luck
