I have not grown too much with coco....used it to grow mushroom though. :0)

Any professional coco will be rinsed and likely pre-charged with nutes.

Good luck,

JD

a quick update tent got cooler than usual. other than that they look like they're handling the transition to the tent and coco well.

[h=2]Hi: vallygrowkid
Nice grow shame to see problems with the kushes l saw a clip on youtube with a grow with coco and he recommended mixing in some dolomite lime before you plant because l think coco has very little calcium and magnesium in it. So as l to am growing at the moment with coco l did this and they seem to be flyin, l know its to late for you to do this but pencil it down for your next grow. You could try adding epson salts to a watering if you spot deficiencies this is normally done once in veg and once in flower aprox.. half way through each stage. l have to say lm converted from soil to coco l am doing a soil, coco grow side by side to see the difference and its huge bigger stems, bigger leafs, more root mass and taller plants. l veged my M.Kushes for 8 weeks and there comming upto week 6 flowering doing well l think stinks of pepper and spice
If you want check out my current thread "My first cmh grow master kush(fem - nirvana)"

One thing l`ve learned over the years is get an EC meter this is electrical conductivity and it reads salt in ur feeding since it a nutrientless medium when you water them you gotta feed them so l water/feed them to an EC value of 800us\.8ms as this way ur not force feeding your plants it sure works for me.

Hope this helps you some
Peace man keep it g

Hi: Again
One thing l`ve noticed there's a lot of green stuff on top of ur plants and in the dishes(moss)???? how often you watering l am at the moment water/feed them every 3 days l wait till they start to dry a little

hi thanks smokey, i will check into the dolomite lime and the epson salt. i actually use to grow soil fox farm ocean forest and fox farm nutes and just wanted to step it up some more. after doing so ive learned alot more about my grows my setup and what works and most importantly of all, what doesnt. i'm happy with the results so far just need to dial in my environment for sure. Im going to definitely check out your thread.

the green stuff on the coco is unfortunately a little bit of algae on just a few of the plants. the saucers actually have water in them. the picture were taken right after i watered them. theres no mold nor algae in the dishes. i have been watering them 4-5 days

So just a quick up date im thinking about trying light cycle other than 12/12. if i do it will look something like this 14/10 for two weeks then 12/12 for five weeks then finishing them off with 10/14. anyone ever try a light cycle like this and see any benefits from it?

hi:Valley
I`ve done something similar in the past and not worth bothering with you should leave the 12\12 cycle as it is and the plants will finish when there ready because bye upsetting the night/day you could stress them out to much and they could hermi and all sorts of shit could go wrong
Peace :bigjoint::leaf::leaf:
