Hey everyone I am really excited as I am finally (and I can't stress the word finally) starting my first indoor grow. I live in an apartment complex and have quite a lot of closet space that could be utilized.

I have a space for veg stage that is about 2 ft deep 4 ft wide and 5.5 ft tall. I ordered 5 feminized white widow seeds from Nirvana and expect them late this week. I have 2 120v, 60Hz, 42W lights (I am not sure how suitable these will be for vegetating, and therefore would appreciate any advice on whether I need to buy more of them or not.

After the vegetative stage I will have either a 400w or 600w light ready to go in a much larger walk in closet.

I was wondering how much of yield I should expect from each one of these seeds too if any one has had any experience with them form Nirvana...thanks and any tips/suggestions are welcomed!

your lights are more than suitable for vegging , as for your flowering light i would deffo go for a 600 sodium as the extra running cost isnothing compared to the extra coverage you will get, not to mention bigger yeild , remember the bigg 3 dude , clean airy soi-fresh air- light oh lord we love light :)
you will also find that a 600 watt hid & a 400 will give off pretty much the same heat - good luck my friend i feel your exitement, i have 12 cheese,(feminised from bigg budda seeds)10cali orange(nirvana fem) and 10 ice (fem nirvana), all growing under a 600watt sodium & a 250watt metal halide the cheese and cali are 3weeks into flower - the ice have just gone in (they look awesome , i will add pic tomoz) peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeace!!!!:)

If its your first grow I wouldn't expect to get more than an ounce or two with those lights too. I started a couple of years ago with hydro and was using 8 23 watt cfl. I was getting about an ounce off of each plant. I have upgraded to a 400 watt HPS bulb. Now I am getting 6-8 ounces every month and a half. One more word of advice. More plants is not better. I was growing four at a time in my cabinet and would get the same amount as growing just ONE under the same light. I now flower one plant under the 400 watt and get just as much if not more than growing 4 at the time. Easier to manage too.

Thanks for the help guys. I'm glad to hear my lighting situation will be suitable. I was wondering though if anyone could give me an idea of what type of soil would be best. Any other tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated as well. Thanks!

i always use potting soil from local hardware store and perlite , i do a 50/50 mix and always works well, the perlite helps break up the soil (better air flow for roots), plus perlite holds water well ....... remember , make the most of the electric you use & fresh air is your best friend :)
also bear im mind that topping your plants will give you width as your plants will bush outward ............. i always top and use the top as a clone .........good luck !!!
i hit u with a rep :)

I've never grown WW but you need some more light for the veg. cycle. Maybe double or triple what you got. If you do everything even close to right, you should at least get an oz off each plant. It's hard to tell. It's like asking how much a persons weight and height is going to be at age 30 before they're even born. Your best guess is to look at the parents.

Alright so I should buy another 2 or 3 of those same lights I have and I should be good for veg? I'll post pics soon of the grow setup later this week and show the seedlings when they sprout.

Hey guys just wanted to inform everyone that last night I had received my 5 WW fem seeds from Nirvana, which is really amazing since we placed the order last Tuesday. They also included a wallet with it that says Nirvana on it. Anyways we have them germinating right now and should be above ground in the next 2 days. I'll keep you posted.
