New grow room

Just cleaned out our old laundry room in our house that we never use and i was wondering what types of supplies ill need to get this going under a 450W HPS and 6-9 plants. Im not much of a builder so if i could keep it simple but still work very well that would be good, got any suggestions? post

Laundry rooms usually have a dryer vent outlet, so that's good. I would put a air-cooled 600W HPS in there and vent out the dryer hole. Cover in B&W poly, 6 x hempy buckets and off you go

Ditto on the dryer vent, but be careful because some dryer vents blow out the side of a house. I would say run a load of laundry and use a dryer sheet and then stand outside and see if you can smell it. I know when I run our dryer, my neighbors can smell the downy. If it vents towards the attic, then rock on.


You can run at least 6 plants at one time. But keep in mind, unless you can find someway to divide the light in that room. You are not going to be able to keep vegging and flowering plants in the same room with the same lightcycle unless you did autoflowering strains.

Look into Lowryder maybe if you aren't looking to build.

i'd do 2 gallon hempy buckets but what is the floor size? are you going to make it 2 rooms? do you have the light already ? if not get a 600w cool tube.you could use the shelves for veg and just put cfl's on them and bud in the rest of the room you could probably get 10 plants under a 600w hps on a step system.
