New Grower, possible setup

Hey everyone, I'm moving to a new apartment next month and I'm planning to start a grow room since I'll have the space.
I'm currently living at Massachusetts which allows me to have up to 12 plants but only flower 6 at a time.. so while 6 are flowering I'll have 6 vegging all the time on a continuous cycle..
I was planning on having a 6 * 6 x 7ish tent for flowering and 4 x 4 for vegging..
For flowering I'm considering on using both hid and led so I'll have 2 600w hps and 4 meizhi 300w LEDs..
For the vegging room I'll probably use a meizhi 1200 LED grow light...
I'll also be growing on a soiless medium..
I'm a complete newb so I'm basically posting this here looking for advice before I click the purchase button and do a wrong decision..
Any comments is appreciated..
I have 1.5k-2k to invest in the project btw..

Being in an apartment I would go all led. Easier to keep cool and won’t have to run near as much cfm. Fans are loud especially for hid cooling. Also being a new grower I would start with one tent to keep from getting overwhelmed. Once you got that then add a veg tent or bigger flower tent. For lights I would go Quantum boards all the way. I have and it’s the best decision I’ve made in lighting

I second this. Just because you have a 1.5k-2k budget doesn't mean you should spend it all immediately. Start small, get yourself a simple HPS light and a small tent and start small. Get an idea of how things work and get a system going before you go too crazy with expenses. You said yourself that your new and while there is absolutely no shame in that, you shouldn't start off so big without any experience. I mean, you wouldn't try to start and run a restaurant without any prior experience cooking would you?

Plenty of resources here and throughout the web to get all the information you need. Just make sure you get some experience under your belt before going too crazy with things.
