New grower

Forgive me for being so novice, but i have a question about the soil. i have gardeners pride potting soil and ancient forest humus as well as a bag of peralit. Is this alright for seedlings or should i try something different? Also i mixed it all together and no matter how much peralite i use in my styro foam cups i dont seem to have any drainage where do i go from here?

do you have holes in the bottoms of your cups? make sure the holes are large enough for water to drain. maybe try a bit of pea gravel in the bottom of the cups to help with the drainage through the holes

Thanks for the advice maybe pea gravel will be a better drainage factor for me, but could it be the soil im using as well?
