New Growroom setup

Have master closet to build out. Workable space is 7x7x8. I was thinking of purchasing a 1000 Hort HPS for flower and a 400HID for veg. The refector is the 6" magnum reflector. I am hoping to run 8 Barneys Farm Libery Haze. Does anyone who grew this out before know if the 1000W HPS is adequate for 8 plants? I will have the hood vented as well as an escape for charcoal filtered smells. I will be growing in dirt or Sunshine mix #4 which has no soil. So what about it? Can I run 8 plants under 1000w and still get a good yield?

It all depends on area mate really i use 2 600's in a 2x2x2m tent and it isnt quite enough tbh .your measurements in ft or metres?

Probly a really stupid question that was lol would be a big closet if in metres

We got roughly the same area so.think youd defo b better of with a couple of 6's instead of the 1000.and should get a very nice yield with them too.

Ive heard of ppl putting 20+ plants under a 1000. If youre running sea of green i'd go with 16 plants. 1sqft per plant. 1000s arent to great for areas larger than 5x5, so Ive heard. and ideally they work best in a 4x4 area. Im still a noob myself, but I feel confident what Ive said is accurate

lol thanks. Could you check out my latest thread? I have questions about a grow set up that Im going to be putting together in the coming months and its very similar to yours

No worrys

So a run of 10 Libery Haze was run. All 10 popped. Used Sunshine #4 Advanced in 11 gallon pots. Plants grew very well with hardly any smell. it did have to run long, this isn't a 60 day flower and it might well push you out to 80 days. I finished at 75 but could have gone more. Here are some pics. The smoke is very good for pain and allows the user to go about their everyday lie with ambition. It will eventually know you done if you smoke too much. Good strain.
