hey guys, i recently started growing some veggies inside and everything looks great but my green beans, the new growth is developing yellow!! at first i thought N deficiency so i watered in a 800ppm mixture of some dyna grow bloom and superthrive. still no change >< anyone else ever have any suggestions?

growing in a 50/50 pro-mix/FFHF no additives at first and feeding dyna gro liquid grow formula. i read that beans were not heavy feeders so i would imagine the starting soil should have plenty of nutrients in it for them for a while, plus the 1/2 gallon of 800ppm grow i just watered should be more than enough. i have read beans actuallly put N back into the soil so alot of people use them in thier crop rotation.

should i be fertilizing with a bloom formula instead?

I always thought green beans didn't require alot of fertilizer but I only grew outside with a light application 10-20-10. Sorry i couldn't help more, I'm basically a tomato guy.

Beans in general do lousy in any sterlized mixes

Beans are a N fixing crop , they use bacteria to suck N out of the air, this is where most of their N comes from

Try a inoculant , their usually sold alongside of the beans at anywear that sells seed

May or may not be the problem ...

the leaves are starting to regain some of thier color...new growth is still yellow but the older new growth that was yellow seems to be turning slightly green.

thanks for the info, i wont be fertilizing them again unless they show signs of deficiency.
