just started with a new set up..8 pot system with
drip type & 8 gallon tank with recirculation.
Plants are about 4" tall. running 1000w MH about
6~7 ft. away. Just changed nutes to a 20-20-20
i run the pump 1 hour on/ 1 hour off 24/7. lights are
on 24/7. some nutes do splash on plants...they look good, but are starting to roll the leaves, tips are brown. ph is 6.0. temp is in the 70's to 80's.
too much nutes? HELP.....thx.bongsmilie

Man, that's way to many nutes for those sprouts. Leave the pump on 24/7. It adds oxygen to the roots and the roots will follow the water flow into the tank much quicker than without it. Leave it on the whole grow. It's help keep the nutes stirred and the water cooler. That's the advantage of bubbleponics over a straight dwc. Run 200-300ppms til they get 2-3 real leaf sets. Also, the one looks stretched. You might want to check the distance from the lights. Your mh throws lots of heat. Check the heat on the palm of your hand to see if it gets to warm and might burn them. Leave your hand there a couple minutes and adjust your light height..... Put a thermometer on the grow surface and dont let that temp get over 80-85. If it goes over that, move the light higher. The 1000 w mh light can also increase the temps in your tanks if it's to close. Putting a fan on the tank helps

ye search for seed but dont buy the first ones u see!
you got a good chance of finding them cheaper.
ec meters can be kinda cheap (£30)
