i really really want to get a growing operation going but cant because i currently live with the parents and was wondering about anyone who had ideas. i have had plants in my closet before and it was going good until it was to big to hide. so i sold it. i would like to do it hydroponically because the season in ny isnt to long. any ideas?

My advice is to browse through the grow journals on this site. Then you may be inspired with an idea to throw at the forum.

closet is alright. i got away with it my first time ever for like 9 months....... build a cabient or somthing, and put your clones under your bed with a couple floro tubes lol.....
build in a closet, dresser, cabinet, cupboard, but my best advice is to wait till ur not at home with ur rents dude.... lol its almost a gaurantee ull get caught once ur room wreaks light dope lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! also if u happen to get busted by the feds ull bring ur rents down with u!!!!1 just a thought l.... hee hee hee good luck

ok growing with parents around is tricky but easly done if care is used 
for the size issue i suggest a new plant rather than a new spot. The wardrobe is fine for small plants such as lowryder or lowryder #2 and they're auto flowering witch i find great coz you can pretty much keep your lights on all the time or not you cant realy go wrong
for the smell, the first crop i did it the smell wasn't THAT bad but noticeable if your parents are on the ball so maybe get a hamster or some thing like that coz animals stink too and the combined smell of the pet and the weed will mask it plus giving you a perfect little fucker to hand the blame on you get confrunted
what country are you in?is growing outdoors an option? if you live in a village or small town there is ALWAYS somwere to grow your weed outdoors with very little risk because your only at the plants for like 10-20mins 2-3 times a week
hope some thing out of all that babbling mess has helped.

the idea of growing inside the house when you live with your parents cracks me up. i can't see any possible way of not getting caught, but maybe that's just me thinking about how my parents were always in my business.
see i got away with it for 2 month with a light in my closet with a AK plant that had nutrients and they didnt know. but got scared and sold it. and i live right next to some woods but at the same time theres no light cause of all the tall trees. its in the US so obv its illegal. i am determined to grow. i even went as far as looking at how much it would cost to rent a public storage place every month. lol and i know everything there is to know about hydroponically growing and have cubes, nutrients and a medium, even as far as the 18 gallon buckets and pumps. just need a place to think of now
dude growing in a forest with tall trees is the best........ take ur 5 gallon buckets and camoflage them with tree bark or even brown paint... grow some plants to a decent size like min 6 inches tall then find a suitable tree that is easy to climb. place the buckets as close to the top of the tree as you can safely climb. in order to provide light to them... also when it rains they should get a good drink in this situation. try it out .. i have lost to many outdoor plants buy putting them in fields etc.... but up in the canopy of a forest the chances of them getting stolen are slim to none GIVE IT A TRY PPL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No way you can grow in your parents house and not get caught. The only time i did that was in senior year and i only vegged from february and moved them outside to flower. That wasn't my first attempt though. I had a rubbermaid setup in my attic, a speaker in a crawl space, and a PC, and all 3 got busted within a month.
But if thats not gonna stop you, then remember to make everything completely light-, sound-, and smell-proof. Also make it completely disguised and unassuming i.e. If its a speaker or a PC, only have 1 cord coming out the back, and make sure there's no light traps or anything on the outside of the box. Also, if you decide to do a rubbermaid, look up BlueAdept's thread on icmag.com.
