Hey guys, I hope I am not breaking a rule here. I found a new light that looks awesome. I actually talked about someone should build a light that you could angle all the cobs and point them in through everything angled from the side so you could adjust and point them where you need it.
That was a year or so ago, and I ran across this and thought someone listened or had the exact same idea as I had only I was gonna use clu cobs. So here is a link...

wow that is expensive. You could buy 3 X 315 CMH for less than that and it will outperform. IMHO

Or get a timber kit for a 4 x 4. They are the same price or cheaper and they perform.

LED is a crazy game. Many claim a lot but few outperform. The 315 blew my mind and the timber did the same. And where I live the cost of electricity makes the lower wattage lights very attractive

It is a bit pricey but I like it. The relevant info is there. Not sure about the swivels but nice to have them if you felt you needed.
I would still go with other options from the USA because It would be cheaper for the same efficiency even after import tax and delivery. But its nice to see someone from this side of the water making something that looks to be quality. 3 year warranty is good too.

Its one of the few powerful led lamps that wisely spreads the cobs about a large frame.
160 lm/w plus passive cooling, dimming, are sweet specs
It looks legit & offers something different then all other premium manufactured plain cob lights available. Their par mapping shows it all. I'd be willing to bet it could replace a 1000w bulb.
$2 a watt is great pricing. Anyone saying different is comparing a manufactured, warrantied, pre-assembled, pre-tested w/ all needed info provided fixture to a possible DIY. NOT even close to fair. Again, Apples to Oranges.
Are you @berulakide considering getting one oe just sharing a find?

No, just commenting to op. I recently upgraded my rig.

Im on vacay right now so i havent tested it out. I swapped out 4 x v29 4k gen1.2. Replaced with 2x v29, 4k gen 7, 1x v29 1750k gen 7, 1x v29 gen7 3k. This rig has a pair of cxb 3590 cd 3500k on each end to even out the radiance. About 575w at 55% efficiency. Its very bright fo my ~ 2x4 space. So i hang it high and carefully manage my nutrition and environs.

You can't dim it? Is it rectangular?
Good choice of Cob Salad.

I can dim the mw drivers for the cree cobs but the main part of the light is an old vero optic lamp with non dimmable drivers. Its a strictly flowering light so i dont sweat it.

The v29s are ~95w each, (except the 1750k) while the cxbs are 50w each. So dimming the crees isnt really useful.
Yes its a rectangular frame 48" x 14", the space is about 54" x 28". In my view spreading those light engines out is crucial to taking advantage of the tech.
I hope the mix is a good one. Ill find out in a couple months. @PSUAGRO has some nice plants under 1750.

The Optic comp. that used the Army box w/ clasps? They were one of the original cob grow light comp. but went out if buss. pretty quick right?
They were also the first comp. to offer 90CRI Cobs I think.

Yup, by odd coincidence i ran into @SupraSPL a few years ago at another site. I was just learning about led and rocking a mars! Supra educated me and convinced me to get an optic. Its a durable very decent light. Like other lights of that era it economized design by placing the cobs close together. To remedy that shortcoming i added a 100w pontoon to each end which filled out the 4x2 footprint.

God bless supra!

I wasn't getting one just yet maybe in the future. I did look at the luminous chips before, probably didn't spell it right but hey seem really good for the price as well. I was going to build something like it last year but didn't manage the money and told people online to build something like it but with 3000 and 5000k citizen clu cobs. I just thought it was neat I found something just like I was going to build.
Also I believe there was a 100 version of one linked on this site in Dec. I share you opinion on the price as well. I have some nice Bubba Kush ando ww going right now would love a light like that.
Just sharing a find though.

Off topic, but I just ordered a vortex 6 inch s-line with carbon filter for the tent! Kinda pricey but built in backdraft damper and seemed to be quiet in videos and got a speed controller as well. Will see in a week or 2.
Man I can't wait for July and it is legal for everyone here!

That's cool. Good to have the speed controller. My 8" Valueline fan hooked up to a scrubber set to exhaust once every 15 min during lights caused to strong of neg air pressure in the room & would make the Mini-Split shut off sometimes. So I tried my photosensitive temp controller w/ built in sped adj bit was a hassle n didn't seem to work right so went w/ the 6" fan.
I'd imagine the speed control would be important to someone using a tent too.
MiGro actually makes a 100,200,400 & 600w. Says on their website that it's the perfect light for the homegrower. Angled cobs would work well over a single grow or area.
What are you currently growing w/ for lighting & have as an area ?

Yeah! That light looks really cool! The single modules reminds me somehow of darth vaders imperial tie bombers, LOL! Hopefully it will not shoot any disruptor photons...

But its "only" 160lm/w(2,2μMol/s PPF) and very pricey for non-comercials like the most of us. But a new generation is awakening and the force is with you which means you could make a light with 170lm/w efficiency by simply using 12 4ft. F-Series strips and drive them @1050mA with a HLG-600 or two HLG-320 for example. Thats ~580-600w, 170lm/w in 3000°k or 175lm/w with 4000°k.
And best of all, you can get it for under $US600 if you're willing to spend a few hours for building an alu-frame with 12 4ft. struts.

I have a 4×6 and not perfect lighting but a couple Mars reflector pannelse and a couple cobs I built as well as three Y splitters with led bulbs with globes off angled in all directions.
The fan and filter are a must, I only had a duct pipe with a big computer fan in it stuck through the h-vac opening. An air hockey table fan and an oscillating one moving air around in there. Has worked thus far but scrubber will be good and if I move more air humidity will be better controlled.
I am hoping the vortex s-line is nice and quiet. If not I will build a box for it and a muffler.
