High everyone!
  1. This is my second grow.. My first was cut short in the early flower stage. My plant is around the 30 day mark (From Seed), and quickly running out of vertical space. I plan to use this box for vegging only and getting a tent to flower.. My plant was topped and has fully recovered and here we are today!
Any tips on any aspect of this grow would be helpful. This is a temporary setup until I get my growth tent. On an 18/6 light schedule. She was topped about a week ago at what would have been the 5th node. Her internodal spacing is VERY compact. Which leads me to believe this bag seed strain is indica dominant . So any experienced growers with advice? If so don't hold back! this is MG potting soil and I know it isn't good but it's what I've got for now until I transplant. Also she was thirsty and had just gotten watered at the time of these pics. She was a little dry and curled but I suspect the watering will perk her up.Using one 45 watt cfl at 65k one 23 watt CFO at 33k and one full spectrum 45 watt led with infared .

your big issue will come from the water staying in the soil too long and become oxygen deprived. add perlite
OK I see. I don't want root rot to become a problem.. Thanks again.. I think Friday I will get her out of this soggy container and into an actual pot with a way better soil mix and added perlite. Your a life saver.. I felt like something was off because the last week she's been having that "wilted spinach" look. Hopefully your suggestion will be the solution

get a digital PH pen and TDS pen so you can check the water coming out of the bottom when u water to see how jacked up the soil is

I'll be ordering both pens Friday. I really did need this information and I appreciate u taking the time to give it. So along with the pens and new soil mix I think I'll use a "grow bag" pot to better serve the roots. One last question for today. Since I'll be doing some Lite shopping do u suggest I pick up anything else to improve the quality of this grow.. So far my list includes a 4x4 grow tent.. A 600 watt LED. Fox farms soil. Ph pen and tds pen. Perlite. 5 gallon grow bags and a new thermometer that gauges humidity along with temp. I'm hoping she doesn't die b4 then.

Do u have holes on the bottom of the container??? U want atleast 30% air (perlite/coco) u want an inch of dirt dried before u water ... And humidity is a big factor when growing ..Plants need water live but need oxygen even more... @Grow Harder Trust me your in the right place for help, remember less is more sometimes

You can use a chopstick and gently poke holes in the dirt, all the way to the bottom of the pot, this will aerate the soil and get some much needed oxygen to the plants. Good luck!

If its the "mg moisture retention" stuff this is going to be an uphill battle for you, but still doable. Next time spend a few extra bucks on something decent it will be well worth it.

Get a digital moisture probe & you won't have to guess about when to water. They are like $12 and well worth the money. Aeration is super important because roots need oxygen. Larger particles decrease the PWT (perched water table), which is always a plus in containers.

TBH the plant looks more like a 7 day plant and looks like it was topped more at a 2nd node than a 5th node

Its easy to get excited and start going 100 mph. Lets get this plant growing right before you start dropping your $$$. Or get to some hard reading done and setup proper. This plant will not give you much or any return on investment if that's what you are hoping. Start from scratch with known seeds, an auto or a feminized Northern Lights is great for a beginner.

Also don't post high definition pics of your fingerprints online.
