New Room after a long road. Need Advise +REP Black Domina and Black Widow

Let me start by saying I'm card holding state certified.

So like the title says this is the new room after a long road. Let me tell you a bit about how I got here. I'm not new to growing, last time I ordered seeds was from Marc Emory and it was Big Blue (like 2002). One of my best friends had brain cancer and we grew to constantly keep him in smoke. Long story short he died and I quit growing, we grew for 6 years. The grows were decent, or so I thought. We were using 400 MH and HPS but never CO2 or ventilation, we just used kmart ferts too.

Last year I got my medical card and now a few caregiver cards too. In the past year I have grown in:

Home made aero in a shed.... Rating SUCKED! (mites, uncontrollable temps,ext)

Switched to soil in a room in a basement (moved)... Sucked a little less. All i did was give the mites a ride from the shed to the basement on clones.

I moved again and started a room in a new basement and transported the freaking mites again. I was constantly trying sprays and crap and wining a bit then losing a lot. I had horrible webs, it sucked! What did I expect tho... I sealed a basement room with black plastic and only had 1 light, one fan and humidity through the roof. I said FUCK THIS and chopped down everything and started over.

Since I have drywalled the room, expand foamed all the cracks, silicon ed all outlets, vents and bulkheads, panted, installed a steel exterior door and bleach everything between all steps. I got a 3 gallon heavy duty sprayer I loaded up to keep shit clean.

Equipment wise I have a 8" Active Air fan hooked to a Green Air DH-3 for ventilation. I have 3 4" filtered air inlets to the room. I added a de-humidifier and a humidifier. I have the same 1000 HPS and a 8 bulb 4' t5 fixture. In the next 2 weeks I will be adding another 8" Active Air fan and create a closed loop to cool the HPS, 6' light mover, 4' tent and EZ Clone. I also plan to have CO2 by the time I flower. Now I should also mention I ordered seeds, Black Domina, Black Domina and the free Dynafem Critical +, Sweet deep Grapefruit, California Hash Plant and Power Kush. I threw out all old pots and dirt and got all new. I use ProMix and AN Grow AB and Flower AB.

I'm going to try to post some pics now. Please feel free to post as I want the best of 100 minds and not just my own.

I also have water ran to the room. I made sealed caps for the fittings where the wires, and hose enter the room. I also have 3 20 amp brakers ran to the room so power should not be a problem.

Now I need help with the plants. My temps are right at 78-79 and I just started feeding them the AN Grow A and B (water PH 7 after ferts). What are the spots from??

Sorry to hear about ur friend. About ur setup, WoW! Great job! Very pro looking. Do u have a ppm/ph meter to test the water b4 u feed it? Seems like u have most the important things coverd, it might help if u ask a. Few question??! Great job on the set up!

Thanks and its true what the adds say for Domina, I'm falling in love with this lady.

The Planst were planted 9-9-11 and I started nutes the 9-21 (Full Dose). Spots started before nutes. I do use a PH tester after I make my water. (I do calibrate it also)

Well I don't have many questions (I do have some) as I have read a bunch and damn near sleep with Jorge Cervantes Medical Bible. I however have never translated what I have read and learned into application. This is the first time I said fuck it and started dropping money on it and implementing the ideas I have always read about.

First question: My room is close to and not over 550 cubic feet and the Green Air controller keeps it at 78-79 without running the fan constantly with the 1000 not sealed in its hood basically open air. When I add the 2nd fan and close the loop on the HPS will I see a good change in temp?

This leads to my second question: Once I dose with CO2 the goal is to keep between 1200 and 1500 PPM for 20 min and evacuate the room. Will closing the loop on the HPS be enough to allow me this 20 min temp window?

Third: Do any of you know of a monitor that will tell me how long something runs? As in I know the Green air controller comes on and off on its own but is the fan running 20 hrs a day to keep it cool or 4 hrs?? How can I figure that??

well make sure to always start at 1/3 or so dosage of nutrients. work your way up to the recommended dosage as the plant matures into a big adult female cannabis plant

first: ther shud be a change not huge, you will be in good range.

get a timer or manualy log it

are the spots on the BD?

Spots are across all plants. I did over water at first but have since got a better feel for "tipping the pot" to feel how heavy it is wet vs dry. I do have some turned up leave edges that point to heat stress. I did just add the 2 other vents that pull from a basement room that avgs 73 yesterday and the Green Air controller Monday. The room was in the low 80's before that.

As far as the fan/CO2/Vent Fan combo, the only way I see to figure it out is to log the fan for an hour and multiply it out for 24 hrs, then add the closed loop for the HPS and re-log the fan and hope the cycle is longer than 20 min. Hopefully it will be over and I will be able to put a speed controller in on the closed loop fan to dial in the temp from the hood to get as close as I can to a 20 min cycle on the temp/humid controller that controls the vent fan. Right? I did just medicate tho so...

So I logged a bunch of cycles today and with getting cooler air to the vents I have a 12 min 30 sec average. The fan runs for an avg of 1min35sec and takes the room from 78 to 76. It takes the remaining 11min to get to 78 and start the cycle over again.

Also I am thinking the money I was going to use for the light mover would be better server buying another 1000 HPS. Agree?? I already have the circuit ready to go.

YES CLOSING THE HPS LOOP WILL HELP WITH TEMP, YOUR ASET UP LOOKS GREAT, (AND DON'T JUST RELY ON jORGE AND THE BIBLE) THERE ARE PLENTY OF GREAT IDEAS OUT THERE, AS FOR CO2, YOU CAN RUN AT A LITTLE HIGHER TEMP, AS FOR THE SPOTS IT ALMOST LOOKS LIKE NOT ENOUGH MAG/CAL IN THE MEDIUM. I MAY BE WRONG BUT HAD THE SAME PROB I TIME, AS SOON AS I FOLIAGE FED THEM MICROS, NO PROB FROM THERE ON OUT. HOPE YOU UPDATE HOW THEY TURN OUT, WHY CO2 20 MIN ON AT A TIME, LOOKS ALMOST AS IF YOU COULD GET AWAY WITH 5 OR 6 MIN EVERY HOUR OR 30 MINUTE INTERVALS?

Yes to the xtra 1000w over the mover, IT CAN GET EXPENSIVE FOR SURE........

So many people tell me that about Jorge and his book now that I have been asking around for opinions and implementing his tech. Now that I have lived in his book I need to find another book to compare and contrast. Any suggestions??

The 20 min cycle is an example in Jorge's book I think. That's why I thought is was a good amount of time to shoot for.

In Jorge's book he also says not to take clones off of a plant less than 2 moaths old. My plants could go to flower now and I don't want them to veg for another month before I clone and start flower. Is there a lack of hormones before 2 months? The plants are over knee high and I really want to clone and switch them to 12/12.

To clone or not to clone, that is the new question....

Clone. thers a technique i used my first grow, i couldnt clone but i stripped everything almost all the way up to the pre-colas. every wher i stripped a small branch that would have produced too small buds, was a small but a little nug none the less. so basicly jus cut your clones, then start momma in 12/12

I just thought I'd post updated photo. I did also take clones. My tent will be here Monday and I'm ordering my 2nd 1000 watt tonight.
