New Soil need advice never heard of it

The local hydro shop is a rip-off and I really don't like going there for stuff so I order online or craigslist 99% of the time. The problem is they are the only place around that I can get FoxFarm(Happy Frog) organic soil. It's by far the best stuff I've used and in conjunction with the floranova grow/flower fert's I've used with it these ladies are super nice. I've got 5 clones I want to get into the final resting place and want to use the identical stuff if possible. There is this stuff I've seen and heard it's great for regular gardening called "BumperCrop" organic soil and it's only $12 for compared to $28 for the soil at the hydro store.

I found this which has a short video talking about the use of the stuff but it's the lady at the agway said people are using it 100% alone with no mix. This video is different. Let me know what you think because I want something I can use straight up. If not I'll have to go and spend money with the dildo at the store. I hate giving me money to the jerk off though. Shipping costs would be crazy though for 2 cubic yards.

Figure out the cost of the soil you can get at the store like wal-mart and such then find out the cost of what you can get it for online.

I was gonna buy FF or some other brand of soil but I looked at the cost and I decided to go with MG mainly because I have house plants that I grow in it with no bugs, nute burn and such so why go with a different brand then what I've used before. You can grow in MG don't listen to every one when they say it caused nute burn and such because they could have over fed them, could have been their PH levels or could have been from their lights.

If you've growen with MG with no problems before don't change to a different soil besides once you've used from veg to end of flowering there's 0 nutes in it so you can buy powder nutes and what not that you can add into the soil

pro mix hp or bx is meant to learn with and the advanced grower and is a pro grade mix. fox farm is way over priced and its salty as hell.
why pay 20 for a couple gal bag when you can get the other soiless 107 liter for 20 bucks.....why pay for a name

You can buy a 4.80lb, 8.8L bag of MG soil for under $5 and you can buy a 4.80lb, 8.8L of MG Seedling soil for around $5 to.

Buy and use MG soil and once its used then you have a no nute soil that you can buy nutes that you can mix into the soil to fine tune it to your needs. Some people say to clean the soil you need to take the soil an dput it on a cookie sheet and bake it in the oven at low temp I say boil some water and rinse it with that or you could even put it into a pot of boiling water to clean it.

Imo reuse the soil that has no nutes in it because you don't have to worry about over feeding it and you can fine tune it to

I will take your MG idea and run with it next time. The soil is the biggest cost and even though this current grow is so awesome the next one will be with MG. I think it was the moisture control or something? Which one do you use? Do you use any nutrients at all during veg or flowering when you use MG?

I would go with the moisture control one but I would start your seeds or clones in MG seedling soil. You can buy those jiffy/peat pucks but they charge to like $10 to $15 for 100 and $100 for a 1,000 box of them. I would recommend using the jiffy pucks if your starting out since they let the roots through the netting letting you know that they are ready to be planted.

Yes you use nutes during veg and flowering. When every you start to intro deuce nutes to them do it at an 8th teaspoon. Once your going to flower them I would flush the soil to get all the veg plant food out (take the same volume of water that you use for soil run it through slowly then let it sit for a few minutes then take the same amount of fresh water and run it through again. This helps to dissolve some to most or possibly all the salts that are in the soil). I would do this 2 times when they need to be watered and them when its time to flower I would start to give them 8th teaspoon of flowering food.

switched to MG. works fine for vegging, cheap, everywhere. would only use it for long veg though as those little balls take forever to dissolve
