Buying something for $20 then selling it for $75 is not 120% markup. It's closer to 300%
Where do you think most everything is made dude? Certainly not the United States. A very small fraction of things are made in the US.

Again, I'm not in the business of LED lights, I wanted a DIY solution. I sourced the parts myself. And I paid a third of what you paid.

304 and 288 boards, when they were made in China, were very likely a cost of $20-$25 a board, including shipping. Now that the 288 boards are made in the US, I'm sure the costs are quite different.

I don't sell them. What makes you think I resell these things?

If 1 QB board costs $75, and an HLG 550, with 4 boards and a heatsink that costs about $30, you do the math.

Parts for about $20 (generous value)
Leaves us what they charge for drivers. You can do the math.

They've been compared to lm561c diodes I got from digi-key. They look the same.

Once I get the heatsinks I will test the PAR output and get my hands on a CLI tester and test that.

No. They didn't come up with new technology. They got help with designing a slightly new looking PCB. Similar PCB, maybe slightly different in design have been around for a while. The diodes were created and designed by Samsung.

What they did do is bring awareness to the LED community, and that is a good thing. I commend them for being business people. I just don't personally want to pay the markup they are charging.
