New system build, but...

Hello, I am an urban farmer, just berries and veggies for my family.

I'm planning to build my home little nursery and plan to use LPA or Hydroponics to be more exact.

I'm not in the USA so I can only buy locally or from aliexpress. I have a very good grasp of the system and the parts I need, I just don't know what is reliable or not and the specs that every part needs to have.

Since it's half indoor one of the major considerations is quite operation and low electric bills.

Relevant system design threads are more then welcome

Hello, I am not into the DIY aspect of hydro but know that it's definitely one of the more viable ways to go! So, you're going hydro. Have you decided what form of hydro you want to do?...DWC (easiest DIY in my opinion), Ebb and Flow, along with some others are common variants. Once we've figured out the kind of system you'll be using, we can start addressing things such as noise, lighting, etc...for lighting, if you haven't any grow shops available, sounds like CFLs would be your easiest option. HID lights are tried and true but WILL raise your power bill, especially if heat is going to be an issue and you're not in colder climate. I'm guessing LED's or CFLs will be best for the sake of your power bill....but that's just my guess. Good luck bud :)

Dear Logan, I plan to build something that would end up looking like the photo, but... The system in the photo is a versatile N.F.T. and what I plan to do is LPA (Low Pressure Aeroponics), which to tell the truth is just a variation of N.F.T. With a dedicated sprayer/nozzle for every few plants.

As for grow lights, aliexpress has a very big a variety, like I said I grew veggies so it's going to have tons of sunlight during the day, I hope it will be enough otherwise I will have to supplement with LED.
